All you want to do is stay in Cyclone, but since it's a movement spell, if you happen to mouse over a rock or a stack of books or any other random ground clutter that the pathing doesn't like, the game says "YOU CAN'T MOVE THERE BRO" and you will stop dead in your tracks. Im playing summoner atm. 4L Revenants are pretty suffering and relying on zombies + mon'tregul's is also longwinded.
I was fairly happy with the build until i partied up with someone and saw that my damage in even a two player is laughable and that his clear speed dominated mine whilst also being more tanky etc etc

Realistically, all I want to change are the 16 passives from the Scion life wheel up to near Mind Over Matter. My plan was to grab Will of Blades, Fangs of the Viper, Nullification, Blood Drinker, Deep Thoughts, Written In Blood and the missed life node near Devotion.

Alright then.
Since you're new
Maps will only drop at the ilvl of the zone you're in.
So, tier 1 maps are level 68, so they only drop level 68 maps.
The exception is that elite (blue names) packs add one ilvl to the loot they drop, and uniques (orange/brown names) and champions (yellow) add two levels.
So, in order to get higher tier maps, you need to run higher tier maps and get harder monsters to drop maps as loot so that it's a higher level than what you're running.
Try to build up a base of 8 or so maps 1 tier above what you're running, then move to those if your gear can handle them. I'd suggest making anything under t6 simply blue, and then roll them until you get pack size. I'm sure someone on here who's better than I will tell correct me on that.
The vendor recipe is useful because some maps just suck. Museum and Desert bosses are harder than their tier suggests, and their layouts usually require a decent amount of backtracking, so I vendor recipe all of those once I've got a pool to pull from. You'll quickly learn which maps you like and which you don't, and therefore which ones you like to use for vendor recipes.

chain barrage with volley fire though. fire a single barrage off and around 20 projectiles total bounce around the entire room critting and every single bounce drops a bladefall and the entire room becomes bladefall and you clear it instantly. cyclone doesn't chain. Fakener is cool but I like my melees to be tanky and voll's is for glass cannons imo. Yes i know cyclone is the least risky melee skill but still. I also already spent 1 ex on a wand. I'll save going cyclone for when i get really bored of this which isn't happening any time soon.

I have been using JSP quite a lot lately. Over 100 trades so far between hc and sc, and not once have I been scammed or even had a sketchy deal. I've not done trades larger than around ~1000-1500 fg (2-3 ex) and most have been a lot smaller but d2jsp is a very safe site. Just follow the proper etiquette, post in thread before pming ign and do not mention jsp or jsp usernames in game. remember the 2/3 rule for giving first too. join date/posts/fg. if you have better stats than them in 2 out of 3 of those they give first. happy trading!
