Bombing both should have either been an alternate ending with its own slides being triggered to finish the game, ala the Elijah ending in Dead Money -- OR the method of making the game playable after the game "ends", rendering whatever forces of the NCR and Legion still active in the Mojave totally hostile towards you and "ending" the main quest line.
Instead it nonsensically has zero effect other than opening up to NEW areas to explore rather than closing anything off.
I'm actually just wondering now why someone didn't make a mod to rectify that.

That's what I thought would happen and the whole reason why I chose it. I was working for Mr. House too so it made sense and I wouldn't mind experiencing a new ending.
Now that I'm done with NV time to wait for FO4 to go on sale and armors like pic related to be made so I can enjoy the game fully. Hopefully with HDT and collision too.

It was weird how it kept crashing me when I tried replacing Postman caps and other helmets, it only worked when I replaced the assault gas mask. I won't mess with that crap much until Geck comes anyway, but I'll definitely port a ton of stuff.

Do you think there will be much backlash from the now primary audience of the games over a lack of abundant power armor sets and too much exposition over too little combat etc. if/when Obsidian make another Fallout: 'subtitle' in the west coast series?
On another note, I've finished making the new wall and towers visible behind the ramshackle one when in Freeside and Mojave worldspaces on FLVJOD Strip - I'm going to add a handful of car models from XRE Cars (will only require meshes/textures and not the mod properly from XRE) to the parking lot near the vault hotel to give the impression that the more affluent Strip-goers drove, or were drove, to their destination; I've just given water vendor lady a stall like those at Grub 'n' Gulp, too.
You can basically never see the concrete wall itself when not in the Strip, but glimpses of the towers add to immersion. Oh, I did the inverse when in the Strip and made it so you see the billboard wall propped up on the other side of the concrete one - which you do see constantly as the ramshackle wall is about 1/3 taller. Beyond adding the "Welcome to..." sign just out of bounds to the south of the Strip-proper (so like what's been done with the wall it's visible beyond the boundary) I can't think of any more tweaks I'd like to do here.
I want to see if I can have a couple NPCs ride J3X Motorbikes of their own accord around the Mojave and I might make the Strip one of the would-be destinations, but that's a separate thing to these current tweaks again.

There's not much to discuss about Fo4. The mainquest is like 5 hours long and is not connected to anything else in the game. It doesn't carry any consequences besides entry to the institute and what random quests you get after the main quest

Because either you double the workload for the entire development process by developing two separate versions of the game (i.e. being fucking retarded), or you hold off on the PC release for like a whole year in order to release a souped up version later, a la GTA V.
