So some questions regarding insurance.
Is there a way to tell how much you have left? My Skell went boom, however the number of insurance is still at 3 even though I got a screen saying insurance was used at the barracks menu.
Also, does an AI that wrecks a skell also use insurance? I've had a few turn into balls of flames assaulting Prone bases, but again, the number is still at 3.

At this point, I simply load up my allies with everything that doesn't use TP. That way, when I go into Overdrive, they most likely will as well which gives a fuckton of buffs.

A few additional notes:
The AI will always perfect their QTEs. Don't worry about their shit.
If you get one shotted you may get two QTEs in a row, the first for the "oh no your Skell has low HP" soul voice and then the second for the insurance check. I've lost a few points of insurance getting complacent after the first QTE.
0 Insurance means ZERO insurance. A Perfect QTE won't save a 0 insurance Skell from being sent to the graveyard with all your sweet weapons. Giving it to AI won't save it either.
Salvaged Skells come back from the dead will still have 0 insurance. Strip gear from Skells with no insurance, sell them and buy new.
Salvaging is expensive.
What are the next best lvl60 skells if I dont want to cheese with hades/reaper zentith cannon?
Okay guys, multiple questions regarding augments.
First, which would be the most effective for just straight increasing damage for my longsword build, 3 weapon attack augments, 3 melee stat augments, 3 melee BOOST augments, 3 ether boost augments, 3 ultrafauna exploit augments, or some combination of them?
Second question, does melee boost use your total melee attack number or the melee attack number shown below that?
Ive been trying to figure out how people are claiming to do 1m damage per blossom dance hit. The most i can shit out against ygg zero with core crusher and ether boost and the melee combo damage skill is around 3.5 hundred thousand per blossom dance hit. Im using the lugelbanda ether longsword by the way.

Currently, I have about 350 Potential and 479 Melee Attack (Total Melee Attack is 719). I have enough Global Nemesis parts to make either Potential Boost/Up, or focus more on my Melee Attack?
PS: I know that Potential is more of a necessity for Ether Blossom Dance builds compared to that of Galactic Cataclysm/Starlight Duster/Starlight Kick. I'm just wondering if the there's more damage to be had if I increase my Potential more or if I just go with Melee Attack.

One's plenty for killing most stuff in ground, dunno about super bosses. If you're going for RP on nemesis you might want two. You can just use essence exchange against a weak monster to top off before fighting the strong things anyway

I know this is a silly question, but is there a reason as to why Potential isn't much of a necessity with these builds compared to Ether Blossom Dance? Wouldn't it make more sense to have Phenomenon/Starlight Duster/Starlight Kick/Galactic Cataclysm doing humongous damage compared to Blossom Dance provided the same Potential?
So what augments are necessary for both Nemesis and especially to grind off them for tickets and parts?

Average base damage per hit for non-TP arts = (total attack * art modifier) + weapon attack.
Note that total attack includes your weapon attack. What this means is that, no matter how strong or weak the art is or your high or low your bonus to ranged/melee attack is, your weapon attack gets applied at 100% strength to every hit. So raising weapon attack, point for point, matters more if the art has a very low damage mod, like 50%, but a ton of hits. This is why weapons with arts that hit like 20 times have such low weapon attack.
On the other hand, for an art like Shrapnel, weapon attack doesn't matter nearly as much as total ranged attack, and a weapon with 30 more weapon attack but at the cost of Ranged Attack Up X is significantly weaker.

Blossom dance ignores enemy resistances, has huge hit scaling for a multi-hit attack and is usable with the highest weapon power melee weapons in the game.
To compare, Blossom dance is 700% scaling base and 6 hits. So 4200% damage to start with. It's coming from a 444 attack power weapon, so just doing some shit 1:1 math you're at 18,000 damage since it isn't resisted.
Phenomenon isn't a TP attack
Starlight duster is 300% scaling for 9 hits, so 2700% Coming from a 240 power weapon for 6.4k damage.
galactic cataclysm is one 1300% hit for 3100 damage. With an aura up its 3x so 9300
Starlight kick is a melee attack, but it uses your psycho launchers for the damage, so it's nothing to speak of there.
Now what I didn't include was melee combos, which a lot of starlight moves use and which you can use on blossom with a skill. Basically it adds up even more in blossom's favor. And then long swords have offensive stance, which boosts total melee attack. Not just melee attack or elemental attack but the final number which is already large for longswords because of the 444 ether sword. I mean shit most LS builds don't even use melee up XX on their guns because they don't have to. There's a lot of things that add up to it, but blossom dance is just stupidly strong and thats why so many people use it. I could go grab a longsword right now, mildly change my build and be doing well over 10x the damage.

I'm following a guide to the 9999999 Zennith Cannon and the video shows him with 21 Slayer.Ultrafauna XX, 3 Custom.WP-ATK XX and 3 AttributeDmg.Phys XX.

An affinity mission icon on a continent map just means a certain AM will eventually take you to that segment, not necessarily start there. Same thing with normal missions.

Sharla is pretty much the worst party member, is rather weak, and the heals are unnecessary. Shulk heals good enough. You can do things like cast his heal on one person, activate chain attack, cast heal again on another person. Reyn is mostly outclassed by Dunban. Since he evades everything he doesn't really need healing, and his damage output is higher than Reyn's. Also, If your party is good at building meter, it doesn't even matter if people die because you can just keep reviving them.

Jokes aside it'd be great if wildlife fucked with each other and we had stuff like missions where superbeasts like the Ygg and Telethia clash. Watching Grexes hunt down Ovis or some shit, or stepping in to kill the predators and letting the prey get away. And missions that focus on it would allow for some neat choices to be made during gameplay. Do you disrupt the natural cycle when one animal is being hunted by another? Do you try to take on both Tyrants if two were to start fighting and causing massive damage as a result, or take down one and let the other roam?

I kept Sharla for a very long time as well, after having a dedicated healer for the first section of the game it's a crutch that's very hard to give up until you're more familiar with the game mechanics, and by then you've settled into your comfort zone and have no reason to leave it unless you actually want to experiment.

Isn't kind of obvious you should stack agility? You need it to hit monsters that are higher level than you, and it helps you survive at the same time. I figured out quickly that it was a good stat to have. And for Dunban, the only stat an evasion tank would need is agility. He can tank fine even with just the skill that boosts his agility when not wearing armor.

Just use a chest armor with reflect gravity or beam till you get the augments. Even if you have the augments you should probably still wear the reflect armor so you can free up an augment slot for Potential Up/Boost.

I played the game blind on the leaked euro ISO before it released, when there was not much english info on the game. I didn't have any trouble figuring out the mechanics. With a setup scout party it'd be very doable since players can get their resistance up easier with pure range builds (use a shield for resistance stat).

One setup that works is giving them an overdrive build and a bunch of TP generation. Having 4 party members in overdrive at once reduces all damage recieved by half, gives immunity to stagger/topple/etc, and makes all arts give 50 TP per hit. Topple spam works well too. Watch these:

HB has Ramjet Rifle and gives everyone 2,000 TP with Last Stand. Mia hands out 1,000 TP with Energy Source. L heals with Mindstorm and gives Potential Up to everyone. All 3 of them have Topple arts.
Or just setup up Lin, L, or Alexa with reflect aura, all reflect augments, and Aura extend and taunt extend.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If you don't take the time to experiment with gems and different party comps, Sharla becomes pretty much mandatory for everything as you won't have the damage mitigation necessary to survive without her, at least against bosses.
Telling someone that she's just completely useless and that it's so easy to survive without her will just get people frusterated when they try to ditch her only to get killed by trash because they haven't figured out the right gimmick builds yet.

How many arts.GP augs do you want for a skell that isn't a ohko build? I know you'd want to get into overdrive asap and try to stay in it and skell arts aren't exactly the fastest to come off CD. I think shields are like 16 seconds and miniguns 10. Then if you bother with two super weapons you're missing 2 possible uses.
