I just stood to his left during it, and when he does his crawl arm stomp combo thign where he crawls forward while slamming his arms a lot, when it looks like he's done his body sorta lowers to the ground and it pancakes you if you're too close, even though it doesn't look like an attack.

Getting 16 chunks from 'bosses' like brainsuckers and loran silverbeasts is trivial and MUCH faster than hoping for miracle. You'll also get Insight to buy rock if you spent that too.

IIRC loran werevolves drop them but they look something like PHY 21% +12 PHY (if you're lucky, there's plenty of others secondary stats and most are useless). If you're going to try anyway look for werevolves with red aura, they can drop gems up to tier 18.

For the boomhammer, is it optimal to stick with normal and use the waning slot for a nourishing abyssal with a +fire secondary or go with the uncanny version and slot it for pure physical?
Is the bonus to your trick buff from the nourishing gem actually worthwhile or would you be better off with a triangle for another 31% blunt?
I'm trying to build up a boomhammer to use in pvp but I'm just not sure yet if the trick is actually worth using or worth slotting for over. An abyssal nourishing gives me like 10% less damage for untricked attacks, but with the trick's base value being so low and split damage being so innately mediocre in pvp, I don't know if the trick is even worth using at all.

Axe is the baby weapon for new players and favours a passive, bitch-like playstyle for people too afraid to play the game properly and need training wheels.
Saw cleaver is the single highest DPS weapon in the game and dominates pvp so long as you're aggressive, but lacks any tools or options beyond "rush that shit down and mash R1." It's the speedrunner weapon of choice
Cane is versatile but lacks damage early on, gradually scaling into power as you progress through the game. Its power curve is much steeper than the other choices.
Ultimately, your choice doesn't matter too much, as you begin finding new weapons very quickly and can purchase the other 2 starts from the shop after the first area.

Alright, so I'm lvl 93 right now and here are my stats (this is my first playthrough).
VIT: 42
END: 25
STR: 42
SKI: 19
BT: 7
ARC: 7
I avoided putting points into arcane and bloodtinge since I'm focused on melee and only use my pistol for staggering anyways.
One thing I've nocited however, is that when I go to level up an increase in STR at 42 and SKI at 19 provides the same exact stat increase to my weapon attack, so my question is why is that? Is it because skill doesn't increase it that much and my STR is high enough that the diminishing returns make it only give the same increase as skill or something? Is there any reason why I should be putting points into STR instead of skill right now?

I know the guy that does Patches is a TV actor in Britain. Never looked too deep into the rest of their casting, but I'd imagine that's their big strength; they don't cast VAs, they cast actors, and they don't cast famous people, they cast mid-level working actors who aren't too far up their own ass. And since they're Brits they've probably all got stage experience under their belts too.

bloodletter is the best BLT weapon and requires 14 STR. so a typical build is 50/X/14/15/50/6 to use every BLT weapon. military veteran is the best starting origin
it is interesting to go 25 SKL and use 1h modes and reiterpallasch, but lately it is even more popular to go 28 STR and gain access to 1h bloodletter, gatling gun and church cannon monster-guns

Alfred is the voice of Targray in dark souls 2, and the voice of Solaire, Vamos, and The giant Blacksmith in dark souls 1
Also dark 1/2 and des all share a lot of voice actors. Bloodborne and half of ds2 is really where a lot of the voice actors were new (to souls).

Yeah that's the real trick. The problem with US voice acting is that there are people who are professional voice actors. That doesn't mean people who are well and truly, genuinely talented at voice acting specifically and use their specialization to master their craft, it just means that there's a fallback performance career for would-be thespians that lack the talent or dedication for stage theatre or broadcast performance. Their selling point is being just ever so slightly better at voice acting than some random teenager picked up off the street, but every bit as cheap to hire. Most elsewhere, performers are variety performers and someone that does voice acting will also do stage acting, television acting and even stand-up comedy. The breadth and well-roundedness combined with actual talent is what makes them great performers, both in voice acting and beyond it.
But those sorts of actors are too expensive in america to be worth a developer's while when they can spend a fraction of the money on hacks like Jameson Price and still have people hang off their dick like 2-bit celebrities.
