It's obvious in things like emulation, where depending on the game, you can reload and see the action play out the exact same since the seed was still the same. A lot of games have actions of all kinds change the seed to assist in better generation, but that's how computers randomly generate results.
Warframe having a seed is nothing groundbreaking.

Ok, time to demystify this before we get even more shitposting.
In ye olde times we knew pretty well what it did, it determined your reward chances and it was simple to figure out.
We even had a tool to calculate our defense rewards: http://sunbla.de/Warframe/SedR/
When they noticed we found out they made it more "random" and more complicated so that was no longer possible. It still determines your rewards though and I'm pretty sure it also still locks itself into certain rewards.
We know it's session based because that number is generated differently every time you start your game.
I suspect there is no account seed as I and a friend have compared large data sets for stuff over more than 1000 hours of gameplay (for example the number of fusion cores we get) and those are remarkably similar which would speak for true RNG, at least for mods.
Mission rewards are DEFINITELY seeded though, but on a session basis. Also only the hosts seed counts in multiplayer.

Yes. The problem is that the warframe RNG seems to lock itself into certain rewards and that all your chances are only generated ONCE based on that session seed which means repeating a mission with a bad seed is not a good idea.
Restarting the game and getting closer to a gaussian distribution of your rewards is better.

It's better to get 100% randomness, since you've either got a good seed, a bad seed, or a neutral seed. If it's a good seed you've already got what you want, and if it's a neutral seed, it still works out at normal levels of randomness.I question why the fuck they don't just regenerate the seed after each mission. Dynamic seeds have been a thing for fucking aeons. When emulating shit like Fire emblem, you could get the same result over and over, but if you moved someone prior to doing that same action, the seed was modified, so the result changed.

I restart after 3 bad attempts, it's working out to average out my drop chances pretty well. It's remarkable how "average" all of my drops are. I seem to get everything after an average amount of time.

Bad wording. I just meant that if you get good stuff in one mission because you caught a good seed doesn't mean you'll get good stuff everywhere. The chances of getting a seed like that are astronomically low.

How do you think health gating to prevent one hit kills/downs would pass in Warframe?
In the Borderlands series you can't be killed by a single hit if you have more than 40% or so health remaining; this leads to swapping between a DPS weapon and a life sapping weapon to reach that threshold and repeating until the (usually boss) is dead.
With Level 100 scorpion/ancient tethers, toxic ancient sneezes, Juggernaut needles and so on in this game instant killing through max shields and health do you think this would be a good addition? make the game to easy? or would DE just have no idea how to implement it?

Here's what I do.
I only ever do it ten minutes at a time. But I play solo, so I can pause, then just tab around doing whatever. So I can do 60minute survivals fine, since I'm free to stop and do other things whenever I want.
The key to enjoying warframe is to take it slow. Else you burn out. That's my philosophy, and I'm still enjoying the gameBesides the pota10o

Learn to use both. When dealing with Corpus/Grineer learn to use a mix of Bastille as CC and Vortex as CC and grouping enemies to kill quickly. Hell, Repelling Bastille can be really good for defense. Only fucking use Vortex for Infested though, Bastille is so damn slow.
Also be wary, Bastille has been kinda bugged since U18 and I don't know if it's been fixed.

Maximization of Radius and Efficiency seems like a nice idea then. I still have to figure out distances in this game because I've been using Valkyr for most of my time and don't spam Warcry because of the stamina inefficiency of the skill. Leech off someone who is leveled so you can pick up mods (do defence or interception for BOTH corp and grin because they have different drops). Since all archwing content is DE approved your weapon damage barely matters, just focus on shield and health mods. I recommend using the loot detection aura on your frame since it works in AW mode and will make finding mods easier in the 3D environment.

so did anyone ever find an easy way to extract all the weapon data from the game? like, the local EE cache files, when extracted, contain a bunch of plaintext data and numbers, but it's organized in a way that's (mostly) useless unless you manually search for weapon names/internal IDs, and try to match that up to an often unclearly delineated block of code/text that has the real numbers
I couldn't think of any automated way to extract those, given the inconsistent patterns, and figured the best bet would be to find a way to actually reconstruct the "file format" of those cache files (split into like, header data and parity components, or something), but I haven't seen this done yet

No, 4 is awful, probably the worst ultimate ability in the entire game.
They massively nerfed the damage and range on it.
If you wanna be effective with Saryn you have to pick a weapon which can proc all of your spores at once like Sonicor / Ignis / Hikou Prime with Concealed Explosion.
The whole map will be cover with Toxic / Viral proc and die slowly.
Your 4 is a panic button which can stun ennemies, letting you time to recover with your Regenerative Molt.

I got the flame thing for it, its alright now. They burn for like 2000 damage a tick on top of the 200 damage laser, and it lingers a bit, achieving true 10k dmg. This was in Sortie 2 btw. Madurai has the potential to be great CC/DPS, all the damage just needs to scale, be dialed up, and be untyped. At its state right now, its only mediocre panic damage while your Warframe chills and recovers, or low armor slaying.

She can use every stat in different ways for different builds, so yeah, she actually likes everything but it depends on what you wanna do with her.

her miasma is a emergency skill, your damage comes from 1 and 2, with the occasional use of 4 when you need to stun everyone.
she is still quite poor, uncredibly hard to mod but can work well as a damage frame if you max duration and power. you need only some range and nearly no efficiency because of issues with her 1. the worse comes from the need of specific weapons like concealed explosives hikou prime, toxic ignis, torid, etc. they are all poor weapons that will make her terrible because they underpeform.

You have to be able to shoot enemies from far away on Interception as it's likely multiple points will be under attack at the same time, and snow globe prevents this.
The advantages of snow globe against infested are also heavily outweighed by the disadvantages. For one, there are very few ranged infested, and even then they have poor dps due to slow shooting speed. Thus, globe is only useful for the slow inside; but people on the outside can't shoot enemies on the inside, so it's just generally annoying. You'll see this mostly in defense missions, where infested will run inside the globe to attack the cryopod and the globe will ironically keep them safe.

It doesn't matter if 1 does slightly less damage because of lowered duration; you should be proccing new spores on everything constantly. If they ever actually fall of, you're not doing your job properly. The damage doesn't even come from the dot; it comes from constantly proccing the pop.

Yeah, I discovered that on the very first Rescue sortie they did. Limbo used to be my go-to for rescues because he could just walk to the panel, open the cell, rift the hostage and moonwalk out.
Now I'm just back to Loki again because he can run to panels invis, pop them and safeguard switch the hostage to make them invuln for 9 seconds, which is more than enough time for me to get so far away that the hostage ends up being teleported again and again to me as I run.

The point of the hikou isn't to do the damage itself; the point is to pop the spores. Many of them; many times a second. They each do piddling damage but if every spore in a 10m radius blows up, applies 3 more to every enemy in 40m, and keeps doing that like 6 times a second then the damage starts to add up incredibly fast.
