Not really. If you're already running everything on Ultra, you can go into your UserOptions.ini, find the RenderQuality line and turn it above 1 to enable supersampling. Use sqrt to find the value you want- 1.41 gives you 2x supersampling, 1.81 gives you 3x, and so on, but you'll take a huge hit regarding GPU usage.

It really is the TR tryhard gun that most MLG wannabes use, but saying that it has 0 recoil is wrong. In fact, angled recoil with high FSM is not easy to control when you have to burst fire. Especially since the angle is slightly random.
I don't know what the devs were thinking when they designed these so called "CQC" LMGs. High DPS, but also smaller COF, less recoil and tighter horizontal tolerance than the long range options. Why use long range LMGs at all if they have insane cone of fire, horrendous horizontal recoil and ridiculous reload times? With carbines and ARs there is more clear distinction between close and long range guns.

Not even tunnel visioning, and there's something very wrong when you know you can't do shit because a lesser vehicle has twice or more the DPS as you, many times the maneuverability and greater speed, but more than half the hitpoints.
You hear that brrrt and you may as well get out and run away, no sense in even fighting back because even AP isn't going to make the difference if you are 10m of each other and even fi you both start shooting at the same time.

Vulcan is extremely shit tier for anti-infantry mang, at least compared to the marauder. If you haven't got the marauder, you need to buy it. Relating to the vulcan, you will never kill the heavy before he gets his rocket/AV grenade combo off, you will not splash the guy around the corner, you will not kill further than 20 metres away, you will not kill groups at once, you will not perch on a hill with your anchored prowler buddies, etc. None of these are issues with the marauder.
Basically, it works, but it's a fucking shitty weapon for the job. I'd never intentionally take the thing to use for anti-infantry if I wasn't grinding out directives.

because harassers cost the same as two bricks of C4. if you want to do AI work, just press U and get a marauder. if you want to do AV stuff, get the vulcan or gatekeeper.

Aphelion isn't idiot-proof like the vulcan is. Bigger magazine, hold-m1-to-do-everything-the-gun-needs-to-do gameplay that even the most unseasoned random low BR can understand and use effectively.
Aphelion is stronger if you maximize the destructo disc cycle, but very few do that, or even care to, or know you can at all.

Depends on where you prefer to fight. The TAR and TRV are both great for in-doors, close range combat (probably some of the best guns for this purpose in the entire game). The default T1 is along with the TORQ pretty decent for all-around--not as good as the two aforementioned in CQC but they absolutely excel in medium range.

If you don't mind not having full-dakka you could try the SABR or the T1B. They both perform very well once you learn to use them but adapting to burst can take a while for some people, me included.
The TORQ seems a bit underwhelming at first due to small boolet but its high RPM and relative lack of recoil mostly makes up for it, and it works pretty well in both mid-range and, to some degree, close range. Overall it sounds like the gun you want is the T1 though.

The contributing factor to that playstyle is pretty much always the base design rather than the anchor module to be honest. Regardless of who's capping xenotech you'll have the hills riddled with lightnings, harassers and MBTs. While the Prowler may perform better than the other faction's alternatives in that scenario, it's a tradeoff to performing worse in others, like small outpost assaults where the magrider excels and wherever the fuck the vanguard has an edge.

I thought "Fuck it, go big or go home" and dropped the certs on a Carver earlier tonight.
The first few times I used it I was terribly underwhelmed, the hit detection was fucking awful, the very first time I swung it at someone it took FOUR swipes for it to connect against a fucking stationary target. The next two uses were similar but it seemed to get better from there.
Now, a few hours later and a good few kills more I think I'm falling in love with this knife.
It looks cool, it jiggles, it makes a cool noise, it generates rage on a scale rarely seen for me, it's just overall great. I just wish I could paint it pink.
I was worried about the noise giving me away at first but that was completely unfounded, nobody fucking reacts to it, not even the activation sound. I've had three people react to the noise of me unsheathing it but NOBODY has reacted to the sound of me switching it on.

Repair sundies. Prowlers benefit a lot more from reps and team support because they have great DPS that's balanced around them not being able to avoid or sustain damage. I have a maxed repair sundy and it turns the average prowler driver from bait in to a little pocket Wittmann.

I ain't VS, but having been on the receiving end in a harasser - Aphelion is a slightly better vulcan (definitely worth picking up), and Saron is okay at range, but can mag-dump up close. It's not to be trifled with, and is certainly viable.
I'd honestly buy the aphelion. Driving for close range AV is the most fun imo. High risk, high reward, and its effectiveness is most dependent on driver skill as opposed to gunner like the saron/halberd.

I'd say give walkers a go too, if you can. They're not as good point blank as the ranger, but have much better use at range, + double as an upgraded basilisk, able to take out burning vehicles, kill infantry, whittle down bad enemy vehicles, etc. They're very good.

I kill infs and almost only infs. Sometimes I blam them with my commish, sometimes I blow their brains out with my magscat, sometimes I headshot them with my crossbow, sometimes I kill them with an icicle or perhaps even a vibrating meat carver. But medic is already a class worth playing.
Infiltrators don't have to really be outright removed but there needs to be a reason for them NOT to be sniping or SMG fucking.
Take away SMGs, they want to be fag they can use the full-auto scout rifles. That right there will help some but on its own doesnt' fix anything, you need to give them a reason to come down from the hills and actually get involved.
Nerf the chamber times and ammo stores of all snipers, bolt action and semi-auto both so that they can still be used to pick off targets but not just suppress an area.
Flesh out hacking, bring back the T-REK, give them a fucking reason to be IN the fucking base.
I'm against removing the class altogether even though I too get buttfrustrated sometimes, outright removing content isn't a good thing.

As someone who mains engineer I always find it confusing when people are saying they aren't worth playing.
I've got just as much firepower as most other classes, infinite ammo for me and everyone around me (Which means infinite darts too), can drop mines of all flavours, can repair maxes, vehicles, terminals and turrets, can drop turrets specialised in AV or AI which also serve as shields and stepladders... Aside from being able to press F to shield I don't see how the engineer class is supposed to be lacking.

Now, what you do in these situations, is go the hex over, pull a proxy radar harasser, and rid the infilcancer from the base. They'll walk around with zero cover & their cloak on, assuming that you can't see them. They're usually extremely easy kills.
It takes time away from you, yes, but it also stops them getting their elite sniperman killstreaks that they jack off over.
