The deal is that you're supposed to burst down your enemy as quick as possible, weaving in and out of the fight, playing safe, but taking risks as well.
Your 1 is great for sneaking in/out of fights, your 3 is your main damage ability, and your 2 is used primarily to boost your 3.
Some advice:
You are not building Dirty Bubble, you are building pure damage.
You eat up mana like sluts to cum early game. Mana Pots or Multi-Pots are the way to go.
Your 1 does not start cooldown until the water form is gone, regardless if you're in stealth or not. Detonate it if you're safe, or if you're out of stealth.
Your 2 does not start cooldown until all dragons are used up. Throw them when you don't need them (it doesn't cost extra mana)
Your 2 has a Slow effect attached to it.
Your 3 acts like a shotgun and they proc basic attack effects.
The damage done from throwing your dragons is directly proportional to the amount of dragons you had when you threw them.
In some situations, one can use your 2 and 3 as separate abilities. Summon + throw dragons at one enemy, use your shotgun + ult on another.
Going for the execute is not the wisest choice sometimes. Take into account:

>Is there a healer in the area?
>Do they have CC immunity skills/Beads?
>Can my other skills do the job instead?

You can psych out your opponent with it.
Activating your 1 creates a splash effect in the direction you were going, and the splash effect never changes size, regardless of whether or not you were aiming on the floor, or aiming the max distance.
A trick I like to use when I'm being chased is to aim at the floor, and go a different direction. The enemy follows the direction of the water form, while I'm safely going back to base. Basic stealth tip, but basics are important.
Never forget that your 1 explodes, and you can set it up as a trap. In a teamfight, your 1 just migh be enough to bring that tank down to execute range. Don't depend on it, though.

As a heavy Nox player I can say she can be really good if used and built correctly.
When I say really good, I mean not quite great which literally every other mid is. She doesn't have the damage to be up there but she's close.
Her biggest flaw is her very weak early game. You might as well be support for your jungler until you get two items (Which isn't exactly bad if your jungler ganks your lane a lot). Her CC however is amazing and once you do get items you'll have a good chunking combo. People will either not want to waste beads and take all your damage or waste their beads on your 10 second cooldown root. Your ult is also great for starting a teamfight since it does weaken all enemies hit for a short time. You'll probably still be using it for damage/snipes though.
TL;DR High input/Low Output. Don't pick her unless you like her.

Ancile is 100% situational. Shield of Regrowth isn't a serious item, and The Crusher only works on gods with kits that allow them to split push safely, like Thor. Two of the best split pushers, Mercury and Apollo already have kits that make The Crusher useless, which is probably the biggest reason why you don't see it. My opinion is that we should be seeing more of The Crusher in games, because it's a 40 power / 20 pen item, so it's not a wasted slot by any stretch, though a lot of experienced players would argue Brawler's Beat-stick is better.

Hammer is pretty good, get it and hide of the urchin for like 60 power on vamana. It gives a lot of health as well.
Qin's are good on Kali and Osiris against teams with soul eater and frostbound, or other health items with low protections.
Witchblade is situational. Same for Runic although much less so.
Telkhines and legion helm are worthless.
Shoes are good in assault, and on thanatos.

The mace pen tree/executioner beats trans and Ancile doesn't offer enough stats, 20 power, 40 m protections and 15% cd is okay but not at that price point even with the stacking passive.
Soul Eater is is 2000 gold and offers 5 stats with 3 of those stats giving beautiful numbers and the other 2 in an aura.
Ichaival is 1700 gold but offers 3 stats with it debuffing an enemy
Executioner offers 2 good stats and a fuck ton of pen for 2250
Hide offers 4 stats and gives hefty protections at 2400 gold
BoV gives the highest protections in game and a dps boost as well as lots of mana at 1900 gold
Sov and HWA are obvious and Runeforged gives 25+ power and two stats in abundant numbers
Ancile gives 20 power which is pretty lame, 40 magical protections and 15% cdr but you need to stack so it falters because you don't get it's defensive merits now since it also costs 2200 gold.
