I think I know now why I'm so bad. It's because I always aim for center of mass while everyone else seems to aim for the head. I don't play arcade shooters, in fact this is the first one I've played in years, so I'm way too used to the one shot one kill mechanic. I nearly always die by headshot but aiming for the head is impossible for me.
Did they reset ranks or something? I don't have a rank anymore and I don't see any ranks on my team.

Full rooms on casual take about 30 seconds, ranked may take a bit more depending on party size/skill.

I really like this game, too bad Ubisoft is killing it with this horrid business model. They are just scaring away too many potential players. I wouldn't have played this game if I didn't get it for free from a new GPU.
$60 dollars for a multiplayer only game where all the operators are locked from the start. That's how the F2P model works but I think Ubisoft doesn't care about the longevity of the game so they are trying to make as much money from launch before they bail.

Tickrate fix made a huge difference, god damn console version sucks. At least it runs at 60fps on xbone.

They're useless, because you're basically NEVER going to want to flash and enter a room online.
If there's more than 1 guy in there, you're dead, simple as. They're useful solely as distraction tools, in which case you're a million times better off running your drone in.
Explosive charges are far more useful, because not only do they work as a distraction, they also open up a new LOS into the room, which means the enemy has more entry points to watch.

Since the patch I get microstutters when I look at smoke. Especially annoying when I'm breaching through a wall. Is there a setting that I could reduce to make it go away? I'm too old for the technical mumbo jumbo in the settings.

Or, pick better hiding spots. As the terrorists, you should be somewhere nice and cozy, with only one real line of sight to defend, possibly 2 if they're both blocked off.
Stay low, and you should get the drop on any enemies who are clearing blindly.
As the CTs, it's all about keeping the Ts guessing. Blow a window, then use it to peek 5 minutes later. Start breaking down a door, then blow the roof you planted 20 seconds ago to refocus their attention.

Someone did the math on plebbit and the DMR is actually a really shitty gun because it's basically a poor man's version of Glaz's rifle. Takes like 4 body shots to down a 3+ armour guy or something if I recall.
At that point, you might as well go Ash for the superior AR and spray for the head.
A good team will always easily take care of the drone though since it's slow and can't even jump. It has very niche uses like killing already downed enemies or distracting people in the middle of a breach, but I'd argue that's not even necessary.

It's weird because each of the Russians can be devestating when played by somebody competent. Buddy of mine plays Glaz and Kapkan almost exclusively and he's scary as both. It's not just the general, the game has low pop as well, on PC at least. Siege is almost completely dead after midnight here in the UK; it takes upwards of 15 minutes to find a game, and me and some other guys were sorted into the same match 3 times in a row. So there actually is an advantage to picking Montagne over Blitz? I just started playing a few days ago and love running shield on attack.
Haven't decided on a defender I like yet. Usually just pick Rook because beefy with vests and I like the MP5.
I dont know why but im just not happy with any of the defenders, attacking is heaps of fun and most of them have awesome abilities but i just find all the defenders dull or overly situational. Anyone else thing this is the case?

Blitz has better 1v1 kill potential and can completely blind enemies in small rooms (doesn't work well if they're further away).
Montagne basically can't be killed unless they throw C4 at you or catch you out 1v1.

You're probably better off unlocking blitz first since he's easier to play. I like using Montagne because he's real effective for the team when used effectively, whereas Blitz's ability is good pretty much just for himself. Fuze's shield is worthless. Almost no one runs him with a shield.

The way I see it, there are two ways to really play him:
1) Plant your batteries in annoying spots and roam/lurk, using your sanic movement speed to max effect.
2) Or you can do what a good Mute player does and stay near the objective, place/pick up your batteries efficiently, potentially lock down fortified walls against even Thatcher-Thermite teams, and generally be a massive pain in the ass to even get to.
