There's more actual physics involved instead of 2.0s system which just feels like a very slow no clip mode. The jets are less controllable and you bounce off of things more. It's probably more realistic to be sure, but with no grabby hands or mag boots, it just makes eva movement tortuous. Getting back into a Connie was especially hard.

I don't think they have that figured out yet, honestly. Likely it would be a choice for in-game credits, but how you get that choice nobody knows.
It's important to note that all hangars aside from the Asteroid seem to be within reasonable proximity to a medical facility. Plus it's been stated that when you die, you don't "respawn" in your hangar, you awaken in the nearest medical facility. Hangars don't seem that important aside from ship management and hanging out.

I can't comment on previous PTU sessions because this is my first one, but performance is pretty bad. I think the best I did was a 30 minute run and I have a fairly beast mode computer.
Performance wise though, as far as FPS....it's okay. Solid 60 but it's clear LODs have a ways to go and you get some flickering on background planets and stuff.

Star citizen does not realistically simulate space and spacial interactions, and thus has no place in being called a simulator. It's a game - and that's ok. It's meant to be fun, and the current system of movement is good (bound to be tweaked, of course), but it's not a simulator by any stretch. So you have a made up definition of what a space simulator is? I assume that the "simulation" of your definition is not actually simulating anything at all, and is only used to basically sound cool for a genre instead of actually having meaning to itself through data. That's what is called a space game - or a game that takes place in space. Like Star Citizen. Once again, there is no problem with this, but why call something a simulator when that's not true? It's basically flavor text that has no place for a game like SC when there's an entire area of use for real simulators.
