Paladins is a hero-based objective-focused first-person shooter (FPS) by Hi-Rez Studios, the makers of SMITE. Currently in closed beta, it's a free-to-play alternative to the likes of Overwatch, Battleborn or Gigantic. The main gimmick of the game is the card system: as you progress through a match, you randomly draw and select cards from your character's "deck" to augment your health, damage and abilities.

personaly I don't mind the idea of ultimates...
PROVIDED they make each one unique, I don't want half the ultimates in the game to be "launch megadeath ray that deals infinite damage" and the other to be "become immune to all damage for 3 secs", they'd also, Idealy be on a long cooldown so they'd be "only once or twice a match" sorta dealie

It's stupidly easy to do a damge ult or defense ult. What would be a utility ult?

construct defences, team buffs, team debuffs, cc in general, take damage for an allied player, probably a lot more
I'm not against damage ults but they should be at least a bit unique
