Right now, the general is fractured and as a result slower but also more dedicated in what truly matters to the individual thread.
Either all but one thread dies out and comes out the victor because of fulfilling the needs of the majority of posters or more than one thread continues and focus on different aspects of the general, growing stronger in those respects individually.

It really was kind of a bomb drop. Honestly, I don't think that Bioware really wanted anything to do with the seekers because they're too much of a wildcard in their precious mage/templar plot. For example, they're an entire political force that has guarded the secrets of tranquility for years, so might as well remove them to prevent a player's option of distributing the cure to the mages at a later time.

The Warden lets you roleplay a character, Hawke lets you pick what kind of flavoured "yes" you want and the Inquisitor lets you pick what kind of wet napkin does good deeds and is nice.

Agreed. I enjoyed my Inquisitor regardless because that happened to be the exact character I wanted to roleplay, but I kind of miss the opportunity to be a complete asshat. Half of the fun of the companions is seeing how they react to different people, and you don't get much of that. Everything is kind of subdued and watered down, nobody yells at each other.
Like Alistair freaking out after you sacrifice Isolde or kill Connor, that was a great conversation. You never really get to do that in Inquisition. Instead your companions just snipe at each other, and you can't see that riled side as much of them otherwise.

Well, humans existed before the veil did, I'm pretty sure. It's not like they just popped into existence following the fall of Arlathan, so they would have had to have dealt with living in the same realm at some point. Maybe not one that was like a pressure cooker gathering magic, but still the same realm.

Leliana is touted around as some amazing spymaster but is never competent when it's convenient. That's what I was saying though, I think the seekers were removed from the picture entirely to make it more "believable" that you're deciding the fate of the mages. Kind of like Mordin with the genophage.
Then again it may be "your choices matter" exactly like the genophage.

I like that they hit harder though, and you have to plan accordingly especially with AOE and how quickly it can destroy your party. Makes for fun boss fights

It could have something to do with the blight, maybe a power source that existed before corruption. If Lyrium was all that was needed for power, then how could the Evavuris get so powerful? Without the orb, Solas is a pretty normal mage, and it seems unlikely that they could get that incredible on ingenuity alone when Tevinter hasn't accomplished the same with shitloads of large-scale blood magic rituals. It could be an alternative power source.

I can't even imagine Cole to be on Solas' side. Cole would never approve the sacrifice of all life for another era of life. That is a lot of pain and suffering.
Problem with the elves is that most of them, like you said, are either city and don't care or are spiteful towards elves, especially mages. So no go for the companions unless we include Leliana, and she sucks elf and mage dick if you want her to. If we had a companion that was actually interested in either the Fade, mages, or their ancestry, then they would understand.
I would never say Morrigan becauseher mother's death and she doesn't know half the shit she says about elves anyway.
Solas is actually very difficult to side with unless you romance him.

I don't necessarily mean Cole would side with Solas, but against him? He still seems to struggle conceptually with people's intentions vs actions, though becoming human might change that. I can only see him continuing to try and help people during the chaos, but actively working against Solas or harming him, unlikely.
Also, I'm not sure I catch your meaning for why Morrigan wouldn't be interested. I can see her having a distaste for it in the same way that Flemeth acted like she was inconvenienced by a blight, with her only real motivation being protecting Kieran. There's still a lot of opportunity for her there otherwise to learn and gather more power.

Even if Morrigan learns the truth (when/if she gains Mythal's power) she would have to also deal with the elven pantheon and Solas. She has a different approach to what should be done to preserve or save what was lost. At some point in time she would probably quarrel and try to kill Solas the same with Abelas; keeping in mind that Abelas was a sentinel and strict follower of Mythal, but that wouldn't stop Morrigan, so why would Solas or any other elves?She's batshit insane t.b.h.
As for Cole, yes I believe as a spirit or human he would fight against Solas. Even if he may struggle a bit through understanding, he will feel the magnitude of suffering it will inflict, I don't believe especially as a spirit, that Cole would let past experiences with Solas effect current decisions. Solas left the inquisition and essentially betrayed everyone.
