I feel like villains being judged as better heroes than protagonists really defeats the purpose of having an antagonist in the first place when it comes to writing. If you can't sympathize with the protagonist's plight to some degree, it's not that good of a villain

Undertale is a gateway rpg game of the worst kind. It's a bad rpg, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad. However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The monster characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the magic, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole pacifist faggotry and everything about the Undertale world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on mercy, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up. Undertale is basically THE series to attract the most hated video game fanbase known to /v/ and /vg/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this game and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Undertale threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

Personally, I don't hate the ship, but I do think it's unlikely with what we know of the characters. Sans probably doesn't think of Toriel that way (he refers to her as "old lady" occasionally), Toriel would similarly probably think of Sans as too young for her, and their personalities really don't go together since Sans is wilfully a bit of a slob and Toriel is a bit controlling. I think they could put up with each other for short stretches, as fits a friendship, but wouldn't be able to put up with each other long-term.
So, when people push Soriel particularly hard, I can also get annoyed that they seem to ignore most of these factors. As with most ships, people who push it the hardest tend towards presenting the participants as somewhat out of character.

If there had been true intent to eliminate Frisk, then he would never have been given the chance to call for help and awaken the souls within OF
Look at Asriel when he's going full God of Hyperdeath. The only thing Frisk could do was awaken the souls within Asriel. Even then, Asriel still had full control over them and the power that they had. The only reason Asriel didn't wind up winning was because you SAVE'd him too, and brought back his love and empathy.
