R4-c vs G36C for Ash, and MP5 vs P90 for Rook? Is any of these significally better than the other? (or does any operator have a "must use" weapon?)

R4 can put more bullets downrange while doing a little more damage, with little change in recoil. EZ headshots with a holo sight and takes up very little of the screen. G36C has slightly less recoil if you can't handle the R4 though, it's not a dramatic change in damage. Though don't slap a holo sight on the G36C if your FoV is low because you'll lose half your screen.
I don't use Rook but my buddy who does swears by the MP5 due to its better ammo economy per bullet and fairly easy-to-control recoil.

This free weekend is kind of meh. I know people are trying to learn the game, and normal match making so far hasn't been too bad because my friend and I carry usually. But terrorist hunt has been unplayable. We usually only do realistic and usually do amazing and have fun. But having fresh people just using recruit, signing up for realilistic, dying instantly and leaving as host so we all get booted, is starting to make me mad. Like why not normal or hard to learn what you're doing?

From what I've figured, you get a new one every 24 hours (regardless of when you complete the ones you have), as long as you have a slot open at that moment.

I'm watching videos to try and get better and I think some of it might have something to do with the delay, I never have the jump on people because the servers seem to put me on around 100 ping, I find that quite frequently on the killcam what the person that killed me does is a second out of sync to what I see.
Can anyone give me some Bandit tips? Hes a lot of fun but I'm not sure how he should be played and what loadout to use.

I personally prefer the shotgun and quickfire with the pistol at range, but Bandit is pure roamer. Set up some shock wire on wherever your team reinforces walls, then go hide somewhere and move around. Basically, you're the flanker.

Remember, don't actively seek out the enemy, just set yourself up in an area and move around that area. Once you get confirmation from your team that they're all bunched together, go hard in the paint. Nitro Cells are always fun :D

If you play with a very practiced team, you will most likely know what they are going to do, how they are going to act, ...
So the only thing you really need is intel if you saw someone or someone killed you and you know where they were.
If you saw someone, you can always ping.
If you died and know where the enemy is (in case you didn't get your ping out in time) you can always write it, you just gotta have good names for all the locations around the map that everyone in your team understands.
I saw a clip that claimed ingame voice is the best thing because they called out which enemies were at an entrance. The only really important enemies are shields, which you can clearly hear if you listen to it.

Let me educate you on body armor.
When someone is wearing level 3 or 4 armor, it will stop multiple strikes from intermediate rifle calibers and up. This is why a common tactic when facing an opposing force wearing heavy body armor is to target the extremities to disable (going down in R6) or kill due to blood loss or vital wounding.
Rainbow Six Siege actually simulates this quite well. Body shots are not as effective as targeting extremities or the head because of the ridiculous amounts of kevlar, ceramic, or steel plates in the plate carriers or flak jackets.
Have a horrendous video that will teach you how this works in real life. Deputy Kyle Dinkheller was wearing a vest that stops the caliber that the criminal was using (.30 Carbine, a WW2 era caliber), so the Vietnam veteran targeted the extremities causing massive blood loss and trauma to the Deputy. After reloading, he fired the final round into the Deputy's head.

Using a shield effectively requires good situational awareness and map knowledge. They're not really easier for starting out with.
There really is no easy way to get into Rainbow 6. Just start out by picking a safe bet, like thatcher for assault or rook for defense, try and fail until you get a good feel for how the game works, and then pick whatever you think your team will need in a situation based on that feel.

The team killer definitely was, and the other leaves happened conveniently after they died or the team lost a round. It could be that they just randomly disconnected though, I know there are severe issues with some people staying in games. My friend gets booted out like 1/5 games, we can't play ranked together which sucks

This game is fucking amazing. Bought it at full price, no regrets. I'm mostly playing as Rook and Blitz and racking up kills left and right. Seeing as it's more of a tactical game, most players don't seem to be able to aim worth shit so I easily kill them. But it's still fun.

For some reason it takes me 20 seconds plus on the first (and sometimes second) round. I had a teammate complaining that his pc literally couldn't render shadows loading in instantly.
