I personally really like the Sonic stuff in SSB4, even the stage (mainly because I really like LW's aesthetics, even though story and gameplay are more dubious). The only thing that annoys me is, of course, the lack of original remixes outside Angel Island (Brawl). But what do you guys think?

Honestly, yes. The gameplay looked bad and the plot looked downright cancerous. Even disregarding the plot, the gameplay looked bad enough that 3D Blast looked better.

Probably. Gameplay didn't look too great, nor do the leaked versions of it play great either. Perhaps they could've been polished into something acceptable, but meh.
I do wonder how the plot would've affected canon. The early plots would've given us a Satam/Archie game. The later plot ideas would've given us Tiara and her father.
