About a month ago I posted my collection. I said I have never played video games (other than some PC games like The Sims, and Grand Theft Auto) in my life. Anyway here is my updated collection and some thoughts on each game. Might give a little perspective on someone who doesn't really consider themselves a gamer just yet.
I have put in at least an hour into each game.
MGS1
Graphics are ridiculously bad, but I really liked the voice acting and setting. I got stuck on the cyber ninja, and have no intention on returning to this game. Its ok.
Tony Hawk Underground
This game is so fun. Probably my favourite in the collection. I like the character customization, and the gameplay.
Mercenaries
I thought it was alright at first, but after plaing Infamous, this game seemed really really dated.
Shadow of Collusus
Kind of boring, but the atmosphere was great
Star Wars Battlefront 2
Really enjoyed this because I was in the star wars mood. I like how it has all the vehicles from the movies, wasnt expecting that, and being able to play as the rolling droids from the prequels is really cool.
Demon's Souls
Really cool setting, but way to fucking hard. I spent 3 hours trying to beat the first zone but the blue eyed knights kept fucking up my shit.
Uncharted 3
The graphcis are sooo amazing. Looks better than some of the PS4 games like The Crew and Call of Duty. Its also really awesome fun, really enjoyed this one.
Resistance
I played some of the other shooters first so when I got to this one, I thougght it was dated graphically and gameplay wise.
Call of Duty Black ops
Shit graphics, but story was cool, and gameplay was fun
Ghosts
Worse than black ops, shorter too. Its ok.
MGSV
First hour was awesome, but the story wasnt even as good as mgs1. I got kinda bored quickly, Also got stuck
TLOU
Its pretty damn good. Not as good as uncharted, but I really did enjoy the story. Oddly I didnt think the graphics were as good as uncharted.

Bloodborne
Like Demon's Souls, this game is too hard. I got stuck even faster, in the first kinda courtyard area where you could hear a big monster banging on the door on the other side. I honestly like the atmosphere and the type of equipment in Demons Souls more. I chose the halberd/axe.
Knack
Its pretty fun, and colourful. I mean LBP is better, but I think I enjoyed this more than Lego movie game.
The Crew
This game is awesome. I love just driving around, especially when Im just trying to relax after a long day at work. Really cool game, and I hope more games have big worlds like this that are also fairly detailed.
LBP3
Probably my faourite PS4 game. This game is just awesome, the graphics, music, gameplay, features. I adore this game
Lego Movie game

Could have been the best ps4 game if it was longer and had less generic things to do. This game gave me such an amazing sensation of flight, I loved that.
Bonus: Mega 64 dvd.
I don't get most of the jokes, but the acting is funny enough. The fat one > the coloured one > the skinny one.

Thanks m8s, sounds a little underwhelming for the whole collection to be honest because I'm not really into collectibles and I could probably clock 35 hours by this Weekend. Planned to have this as the game to play for the next few weeks since I finished Witcher.
I started the first one on Hard and I'm tempted to move it down to normal because it's just countless enemy after enemy in places you've already cleared. They take a lot of hits and considering the mechanics aren't really all that great anymore it's not all that enjoyable either. Thankfully the load times from dying are practically non existent

I get what you mean, two years or so ago I'd consider 30 hours a decent amount but now I sort of expect more from my money, so to go to a game that'll be over that quickly sort of leaves me feeling a bit short changed. I'm probably going to have to buy another game very shortly to fill the void in which I didn't really want to do.

I agree with you, and I'm not trying to make excuses for Uncharted. Its pretty telling that a collection of 3 games is only good for 35 hours. What does that say for the individual games in their own right. That being said my point was since the story is told with more of a movie pace rather than a video game pace, and the gameplay isn't that good, after 10 hours I just want them to end. I'd rather games be longer if they can hold my attention properly, like Witcher, but Uncharted just overally isn't that good. Its just good enough for me to not give up on it and see what happens next for about 10 hours a piece.

That's just really unfortunate to hear. As a 360 owner last gen, Uncharted was always one of those buzzed over exclusives that I always wanted to try but never could. Moving to PS4 seemed to provide the perfect opportunity but it seems none of these exclusives were really all that great.
After just starting Uncharted 1 I'm on 58% now, it's a bit of a chore really and the mechanics are really nowhere near good enough to justify the sheer amount of shooting they have you do. Enemy after enemy after enemy and your shots don't really seem to mean shit unless it's in the head. Had a Trophy for 50 headshots pop up in no time.
I hope I enjoy 2 and 3 more, but even if I do I'm going to be pretty bummed out by the overall length. I expected great things from this series

Had a PS3 last gen but mostly played on PC/360. Friend let me barrow U1 and I didn't like it, got half way through and just dropped it. I've played through U2 and U3 though and they're alright I enjoyed TLOU more though, stealth more of my playstyle.. As for length I feel they were long enough. People say TLOU was too short for 15 hours. Literally one of the longest none rpg games last gen.
U4 looks promising to me, levels a lot more open there's a lot more verticality. Stealth is option. Multiplayer looks fun but wish it was more tactical like TLOU MP.

The main reason why I'm not a fan of the multiplayer (at least going by the beta) is that it's basically a more athletic version of TLOU, but with AI companions and power-ups.
I'm sure it'd help if I got good, but I find it way harder to go off on my own and still have fun, killing more than one person at a time.
General gunplay and controls for the most part are really fluid, so I hope they have a Classic mode at launch.

Except the scale of a remastering project and the scale of developing an entire new game from scratch are completely different.
You could not create an entire new The Last of Us/Gravity Rush with a team and budget the size of the ones used for the remasters of those games. You could argue that the amount builds up across all the Remasters being done, but then you're not bothering to take into consideration the circumstances of each game and whether there's demand for the remaster or not.
There's also the fact a lot of these remasters are often done specifically because the developers intend to release full new games and keeping the IP relevant, making more money and giving access to previous games on a newer platform will help the full new game, which is the case for both Gravity Rush and Hundred Knight.

Are you referring to ALL the remasters? Like DmC and Darksiders and so on? From several different publishers? Then that funding would have never come together in any scenario.
Even if you limit it to just one publisher at a time you should still have to take into consideration why the remaster is being done. Gravity Rush Remastered has a clear purpose, bringing it to a new audience and gathering an audience on the platform that Gravity Rush 2 will be on.

As in Watch_Dogs? I enjoyed it. The way you can manipulate in the environment was pretty cool and IMO actually pretty well done. It expands on the GTA-like format in a pretty unique way. Also the multiplayer was neat as hell, especially tailing.
It definitely has its fair share of issues. The visuals were much worse than the initial reveal, and vehicle handling was only about passable which was a shame. Also fucked physics in places.
Didn't much care for the story but purely from the gameplay being GTA-like with environment control I enjoyed it a lot.

PS3 was like an oldschool console. They tried to make it too much of a custom computer, rather than just a PC that plays games if that makes sense. That and they tried to also make it into a media centre to do away with bluray/dvd players. They really overshot and managed it all poorly, even though I think in the long run the PS3 was a pretty solid bit of hardware.
I suppose it worked out in the end, they just dumped money into it to keep it going and going into the PS4 they took all those lessons learned, dumped even more cash to make sure they got it right. Hey guise, i'm about to buy a PS4, but the monitor I have doesn't have HDCP support and I have to connect it through DVI.
If I get a HDMI-DVI adapter and I turn off the HDCP on the console, I should be able to see it on the monitor, right?
I don't care about the sound because I have a headset compatible with the PS4, so no worries there.
