It's better to use epic pot scrolls on things you can't readily obtain duplicates of. With utgard, you can just smash the weapons and armor together until you get epic potentials, while you're stuck with that one ghost badge, or gollux ring, or so on.

heres what you do for meso in reboot
first thing, get herbalism and mining so you can do those random herb/rocks you see lying around, they have pieces of time which you can npc 500k each
train til you're strong enough to do hilla, do hilla (and zakum) everyday, npcing the equips/mesos/items you get til you get a pet then just train4lyfe and get all the free mesos, probably at MP3 or something
and you can always make another char for a link skill, and use that chars snail (since every char gets 1) for free meso loot while you train it and then transfer the mesos over (just don't start using the snail til lv40 or so to get the most out of it) this is what im doing right now, training my link skill chars and getting mesos while doing daily hilla/zak runs on my main til i get a pet
additionally, go make a kinesis, he gets a 7day pet you can have fun with for awhile + the snail too for all those free lootz

Between keeping up mind quake, psychic assault, and drain, it's hard to do anything that's not just bpm and smash.

ok, you know the mr.lee airline quest right? if not, it must be in your lightbulb or in the event hall, you go there. kill some monsters and they will drop a diary, you grab it, and I'll give you a mission to kill monsters on the island.
you kill them all, (its a little annoying searching for them because the maps are random, but for the boar you can return if you take the same teleport twice) there is plenty of time so np. and the quest will give you a buff that gives you a LOT of stats including something like 5k def and mdef, so you can tank pretty much anything, pretty useful for heisan.

Damage reflect is extremely stupid. High dps classes naturally have low HP, enough so that they could literally one-hit kill themselves and yet Nexon don't seem to think this was an issue at creation, a week/month after creation or even now when the game should be much more casual.
I was doing Balrog for the quests (fun fact by the way, on reboot the scroll guy will reward you with like 1mill mesos instead of a shitty scroll, I didn't really pay mind to the exact amount at the time but it was a better reward nevertheless) and I casually saw two players being confused that the "boss" somehow one shot them and need to google what the fuck happened. Balrog always been shit yea but regardless the outcome for those two would been the same for any boss. Damage reflect might been a ok skill back when 2nd job warriors got it as a skill and HP warriors were a thing but nowadays there is no excuse for it.
