I'm a guy with a strong PC, a WiiU, and few scruples. I want to play all the Sonic games I haven't already, but I don't know the best way to play them. My PC's more than capable of GCN-era emulation or lower, or I could pick up the ports, if they're any good, or I can grab them on the VC if that's a good option. I'm specifically interested in playing:
Sonic 2
Sonic 3 and Knuckles
Sonic Adventure 1 & 2
Sonic Heroes
Shadow the Hedgehog
Sonic 06
I know that'll have to borrow someone's 360 or PS3 for the last one, but I know there are several ways to play all the others, and I don't know which is the best. Cheers.

Emulate 2 and Sonic 3 Complete.
The Dreamcast version of 1 is the best version but the Steam version isn't offensive, just a little more unstable than the original. Same goes for 2.
You can emulate Heroes but I'm not too sure on how stable it is in emulation.
Emulate Shadow on Dolphin.
The 360 version of Sonic 06 has marginally faster load times and that's literally it.

I like it. It makes female characters feel more balanced since their torsos don't work like male torsos do and inherently don't work as well with pure Sonic proportions, especially on females that are wearing tighter clothing like Bunnie or Sally. They got away with Amy due to her dress but she looks weird as fuck when she isn't wearing it in stuff like Sonic X.
