Personally, the most common things I take damage from during the MKII fight are the flies he spawn that shoot in four directions when killed. The more you make him jump, the more you have to move around to avoid the death balls. If you do, like, a moon maneuver where you go from top to side to bottom to side to top then it can keep him in a laser loop, and since he does that little face tick before firing it gives you the visual cue to dodge; unless you have lower speed, in which case it can be a little more difficult to keep the rhythm up.

The new sacrifice rooms are pretty damn powerful though. If you happen to have 7 health lying about then you have a 1/3 chance of an angel room item ON TOP of the chance to get the angel/devil room too.

I had 9 lives and Guppy's Paw, I wasn't going to have a lot of red hearts any time soon.
Guppy's Paw was a run saver though, I always kept a red heart in reserve just in case I needed to heal.

I had to do like 4 breaking runs to get the combo going. My advice is to restart until you see either steam sale (then bomb everything and hope for 2nd or just 2x cheaper other breaking run) or blank card (then try to buy red cards for 2diamond). I also learned the hard way not to pick up Chaos item. Finding the hourglass becomes tedious after 500+ breakfast. You don't really need the guppy/etc stuff from chaos cause you'll 1 shot the boss anyway with the card.

Turns out the Chaos card isn't necessary, I only had to get the Glowing Hourglass. Ultra Greed died in about one second every time.
It took forever filling up the machine, by the end it was jamming every 3 coins.

Of course Chaos Card isn't necessary, since by that point you're likely to have a very broken build, but it'll still be slightly faster as long as you don't have enough damage to clear Ultra Greed's HP bar completely the instant it comes up.

ipecac tears act as triggers for the explosion effect; the explosion has a set radius, and when a tear hits, an explosion triggers at the center of the tear
death's touch causes an increase in tear size proportional to damage; ipecac has retarded high damage, so you get retarded huge tears. it takes another damage-increasing item to really break (in my case it was monstro's lung), but it gets so that the tears are bigger than the explosion radius, meaning that when the edge of a tear contacts an enemy, the resulting explosion at the center of the tear just doesn't hit them.

Champion Duke of Flies could conceivably hit you because he either summons double flies or red cross flies.
Champion Monstro could hit you only if it's a tiny room or you get unlucky with the double pink Monstros, because big Monstro doesn't even jump, he mostly just fires.
For some reason Champion Pin is super fucking rare, but is just as easy because it uses the same jumping pattern.
Normal bosses never really hit you.

I'm mediocre at best but I was able to 100% the Lost pretty easily without collar save-scumming in two days with holy mantle unlocked... and honestly him and the keeper have become two of my favorites.
Mega Satan was the hardest because you can't take deals with the devil early on and have to really work to get those key pieces. Goathead and nine lives makes that one easy peasy, though.
Otherwise-- pray for favorable rng and look for good space bar items like blank card. My favorite when I'm not shootimg for boss rush/hush is teleport 2.0. Getting an deal room along with an error room every floor gives you ridiculous item combos.

That's what Lazarus is. Or rather, that's an upgrade from base Lazarus that makes him actually playable.
So why does everyone hate Keeper so much? Sure, he's tough, but he's got neat synergies, he starts you with a powerful item and he lets you play the fuck out of the shops. He's nowhere near as hideously unfair as Rebirth Lost was. To be honest, I think he's prettyfun.Is it just because everyone's salty about the nerfs and associates him with it?

He has a slow fucking firerate which sucks for early game, he can only take 2 hits before he dies, which don't regenerate unless you find health, he pretty much can't take ANY devil deals unless there's a health up right outside the door, and he can't take 2 heart devil deals at all, and 90% of his unlocks are garbage.
We fucking despise the shithead because we despised The Lost. We don't need another awful, boring, annoying, piece of shit challenge character. Combine that with the fact that they allowed The Lost to start with the Holy Mantle, which immediately made him fun, and you have a recipe for the most hated update in all of video games

The phase 3 light pillars are super easy to dodge, they always miss the top right&bottom left corner, or top left and bottom right corners depending on which corner it starts in.
Unless you're at roughly .5 speed or something similarly painful you'll always be able to dodge it by being in one of the bottom corners, if it's on the opposite side of the map just move to the top corner of that side, and if it starts above you just don't move.
If it's the RNG beams in phase 2, well savour your steak more I guess.
