The reason why the souls genre got steadily worse is because they listened to the whiny portion of the playerbase.
When FROM focused on balancing, all the fun went out the fucking window.
All the levels feel the same, wide open bright connected courtyards, no Sens fortress, blighttown, latria, tomb of giants.
All the bosses feel too samey, 'armored guy with greatsword' in wide open spaces.
No capra demon, no tag team bosses, no more tailcutting.
In DaS the only greatsword-style bosses were Artorias and Gwyn.
They focused on balancing pvp for duel's, which fucked over invasions hard.
And invasions is way more fun then fucking duel's, nor can you make that many interesting vids of the 10000th fight club.
Same goes for NPC and story, not even trying-level with DaS3 literal copy-paste the npc's from DeS/DaS.
I mean LITERALLY copy and paste.
I know Dark Souls 3 is easier than most Souls titles, but today I just beat Aldrich on my own for the first time. I usually summon for Aldrich and flounder around helplessly whenever I do, while watching the other guy carry me and only really going in very hard if the Phantom happens to die when Aldrich only has a little bit of health left. I thought, on NG+ he'll surely be a bitch and a half, so I summoned again. But today one of my summons sucked and I died before the other could really help me out much. So I decided to stop beefing up his HP bar with help that wasn't... really helping and I did it alone. Now I feel really good.

I've heard that the blessed weapon buff has variable health regen based on your faith (or maybe it's spell buff, I dunno). How much faith/what talisman should I use to squeeze out the max amount of regen from it? Looking to make a regen build.

Healing takes a shitload of focus at these levels, I may have to consider belaying the pacifist part until I get to the Settlement or something.

The fact the most memorable thing is Wyvern's race or Shadows of Yharnam huge cheesing crypt speaks miles about how they'll never play more with boss arenas tools. Even 2 was full of these. I don't need much, just a few instaces of cool things like Taurus's arena would work well.
