>What is Paladins?
Currently in closed beta, Paladins is a hero-based objective-focused first-person shooter (FPS) by Hi-Rez Studios, the makers of SMITE. It's a free-to-play alternative to the likes of Overwatch, Battleborn or Gigantic. The main gimmick of the game is the card system: as you progress through a match, you randomly draw and select cards from your character's "deck" to augment your health, damage and abilities.

I think the game terminology for them is "champions." I wouldn't be surprised if they are officially referred to as "paladins." They're all rather strong in their own way, egotistical or not.

Yeah that seems to be the "meta" atm, almost no fights on the point itself. Mostly on the outer edges of the zone the point is in with everyone trying to flank each other.

I'm pretty sure the idea of the roll build is an improved roll and stronger shot(s) when coming out of the roll. It's the "dodgy cunt" build, good for skirmishes instead of being designated artillery like she always is.

Tell me how often SMITE has a 5-man invade at the start of a match. It still makes sense and helps your team, but there's a list of reasons why it doesn't usually happen. The champions who usually gank didn't used to have a team of 4 people backing them up in the old point-humper meta, and since some dumbasses are having a hard time adjusting they sprint to the point as fast as they can anyway and leave their team behind.

Looks like chain lightning builds actually got a buff; the card that gives increased damage vs. other targets deals full damage.

Yeah, Grohk's specialty card removes the damage penalty on bounce targets, so everyone hit by Chain Lightning is receiving full damage. That's crazy.

I'm generally wary of the cards that do bonus damage to player-made walls and defenses. Then I realized Barik, Buck and Fernando are a thing, and I'm suddenly grateful.
