There are four classes currently and they are character locked so if you wish to be a gunner you'll have to play as a loli.
Berserker class for your melee rip and tear.
Shadowhunter class for dickass rogue.
Evoker for big tittied mage.
Cannoneer for the loli gunner.

There's plenty to run dungeon wise and such to get all kinds of gear and grinding out.
There's also 2 types of pvp: 20v20 where lots of people duke it out and 3v3 for the smaller arena type of fights.

You can get hit by ranged homoing shots even mid dodge, and even if you dodge away from a melee attack, you end up taking the damage despite being far out of range.

The second part shows you that, if the mob was at any point in range of you, no matter how far away you are from them.

There's some power creep potential yes, but honestly you'll only care about if you want to have like a 5% advantage over f2p players, and there's RAW and balanced pvp, meaning only pay2win players will play RAW arenas.... as for pve if you care that much about clearing the high end dungeons 10 seconds sooner to waste $50 bucks a month, well you have to be ultra autistic.
Patron gives you an extra skill tab... that's like the dual spec from wow, but you can already reset skills anywhere for free. You get reduced cooldown on your hearthstone, totally pay2win!
