Question for all the experienced tank players.
Do you always mark enemies in dungeons? Even at level 60?
Or only in lower level stuff if you feel like your party is dumb (Like for the bees in Qarn)
Which do you do, and why?
I feel like the other players in my party would have more fun if I didn't mark targets. I don't find it necessary, as I never have a problem holding aggro.
Marking targets for every trash mob just feels too bossy. Is this a wrong mindset?

Which do I take to 60 and main? I like aspects of both, but don't really know how they perform at 60. I originally quit nin in arr because of mudra lag, but it seems to have been completely eradicated.

I only ever mark targets that absolutely need to die first, like hornets or the soldiers on the last pull of A2S. I don't otherwise bother marking because it's more efficient for the DDs to just AOE them all down instead of killing them one at a time.

So how generally useful are chocobos? I made a blm with the idea of of making my chocobo a defender so I can worry about not getting hit at all but I noticed that not only can you not give it any proper commands it also has no taunt at all, so it's pretty much useless since it wont defend me from shit. Are healer or attacker chocobos better?

I don't know, to be honest. NIN is probably easier to get into a static with compared to BLM, but BRDs and MCHs are currently highest in demand.
thinking of xferring from ultros to gilgamesh
feels like there's no way to find a static here as someone who has done hard content across multiple mmos but not ffxiv and it makes me sad
