Restart the game every 2 hours, does wonders.
It seems like they added some new low quality effects for when you set the quaity effects settings to minimum. So far it's helping me to keep the framerate to 60 in 5man maps when everyone's fighting, whereas before i was getting some drops to 50-55fps.
Maybe this will help in 10v10 pvp? I will give it a try later.

I'm new at the game, played a bit of the beta as a paladin (advanced 3 nodes in the atlas), but hardly remember anything about the game. Was a mistake, too, as I don't want to be a tank.

For me it is, it's the best not-an-MMO I played in years. The theme park WoW clone done right, right to the action, good gameplay, awesome classes, progression system, no pointless open world "kill pigs" filler (although there's optional open world areas if you wanna relax because they're beautiful). Not that I played many theme park "MMOs" though. Last I tried where GW2 and Tera and both where an abolute joke of a game compared to this.

It doesn't even look similar, that character is flat without any kind of detail while SF is full of normal maps and detail, and the enviroments are really poor in FFXIV too compared to SF grass, geometry, etc. As for engine, the game seems to be using something similar to Alpha Protocol, considering that Obsidian is co-developer, but I don't know.
The engine feels more like Warthunder than FFXIV in any case.

Ther'es literally a system called Catch up system that gives bonus all saturdays, you fucking dense motherfucker. And besides that, both cashers and free2players have the same caps, no matter how much money you put into the game you can't advance faster, just fill your weekly cap faster, if anything.
I'm 2 weeks in and I already have 2 classes mastered, with slayer, archer and berserk ready to unlock and I having a shitload of fun with this game and it's progression. Sorry you don't :^)

when you max a class you get a symbol and 2 slot for symbols. Symbols are like the class talents but they affects all your classes.

In this game Archer is pretty much all DOTS and sustained DPS with 2-3 "burst" skills/combos
High level fiths in Skyforge depend on coordinaded use of damage enhancing buffs by supports and burst skills by DPS
Archer benefits less from buffing since their damage happens over time and not in big spikes like most popular DPS classes
In PVP the class excels at keeping distance with mobility and CC and stunlocking fucks as you slowly burn them

Rapid Fire builds more heat, while Plasma Beam spends more heat then Plasma Shot. This allows you to get missile phase sooner.
