Fumi kind of got a bad deal being the protag. Being absurdly average was Keita's strength and what allowed him to get so much development. It didnt really work for her since she's just a copy of him, but that all wound up changing in the anime anyway.

Awevil's ability to inspirit no matter what could be quite powerful if it works against the Oni. I dont know if they count as bosses or not since they technically dont have the same health bars that bosses do.
The DoT that his inspirit deals takes off chunks and tics every time the opponent finishes an action so i'm guessing it could deal tons of damage to the Oni since they're all crazy fast.

Well if it does percentage damage like 5% or something that's probably not much against lower level enemies since they die so fast. Bosses, and the Oni in particular have giant pools of health that take a while to whittle away at. That DoT really makes a difference, especially since it goes off after every turn of theirs.

I've been looking into the PvP aspect of the game by looking at videos from JP.
They're pretty interesting, though it suffers from over saturation/reliance on shogunyan's soultimate to deal damage. At the very least some niche teams seem to get in the way of that strategy

You can make a team using whoever you want, usually. Cadin's evolution might only be a C-Rank but if you make sure to train him well with books and such then I'm sure you might be able to carry him through to at least the end of the main game.

As someone who got Shogunyan as soon as he was available, I would say that having one or two high-ranked Yokai on your team doesn't make things TOO easy? There's still other members of your team and you'll need to keep your strongest one healed and purified during boss fights anyways which means they won't be on the front lines the entire time. Still, if you're looking for decent challenge I'd say don't use the Yokai you get from the Crank-a-Kai until later on when you get your B or A-rank watch.

Sometimes a yo-kai's job does multiple things.
Pandle/undy makes people careless and do things that are high-risk (leaving door open, things unlocked, medicine out in the open), Swosh makes people carefree and not give two shits about judgement, at least around the ocean. Wazzat makes people forgetful (forgetting pants/changing out of pajamas is one way, for example).

Nah, he spawns in any of the trash cans or piles of cardboard in there. He's just rare. If you've got the S-rank watch, though, I'd suggest going up and down those stairs past the S door. There's piles of trash close enough to the top and bottom of them- if you drop down off the ledge at the top instead of actually going down the stairs- that your radar can instantly detect him if he's spawned.

Canadian anon, I've now seen the Yo-kai Watch, medal moments figures and medal packs in the Walmart across from the Toys R Us where I first spotted Yo-kai Watch toys. In Walmart I found the toys next to the pokemon trading cards.
I've now bought a total of 10 medal packs so far between the Toys R Us and the Walmart. I pulled some shiny medals from the latest round of packs, looks like S rank yo-kai are the shiny medals in the English medal packs.
I have 22 out of 44 medals from series 1, a few doubles and triples of noko and tattletell.

That's good if true. It's really the only reason i can see getting the two versions, if i can get the exclusive youkai all in one game. Getting the GUTS youkai as well is a nice bonus since i didnt even know they existed.
