Serquet? I'll assume it's conquest, because she's subpar everywhere else.
First - Serquet plays one position and one position only: Jungle. I'm not going to tell how to jungle, but learn to recognize the best window for a gank.
Second - She's a ganker; Serquet is a predator, and squishy and hurt gods her prey.
Third - Her poison. It does pure % based dmg. Her 1, 2 and 4 apply a stack of the poison.
Fourth - Her ult throws people in the direction you're looking at. Her ult prevents healing. Keep those things in mind.
How to Serquet - Blink or just get close to your prey, don't use your 3 for that, it's important; Initiate with your ult and throw them towards your tower/teammates; Use your 2 to make them attack you them hit them for that sweet 20% dmg.
Use your 1 if they try to escape to close the gap and do more dmg. If things go south jump out. If things are going well, jump in for the last hit.
Serquet depends on her team early game. Gank lanes where you're sure you and your teammate can get a kill.
Anyway Serquet is fun as fuck and you'll have scrubs raging at you by the time you master her.

Breastplate was more of a filler item, honestly. I already had the first 5 items and they were down to a couple of Phoenixes and a T2 tower.
I played more of a support(?) jungler, finishing waves and securing kills because Ao's squishy as hell and I like playing safe. The defense is there mostly if I screw up my ult and need to get away.

Like most guardians it depends on the game, that's kinda been my point from the start. Just don't blindly throw auras on him. If you want to be mage-y then a Pythag and a Spear is good, going tabkier you'd want a Mystical and a Void Stone, Iso is fine and all but its expensive and if you play him right then they're already slowed and crippled for 8 seconds anyways, its much better on say Xing for example.

His passive is way better, the heal is quite potent in teamfights. You can take someone to the sky with your ult, get a mail of renewal proc., land, hit your aegis, then your 2, and gain back 40% of your hp with all your sash and ring back up.
