HOW DO I BEAT THIS FUCKER? I never had problems with any boss in dark souls 1, demons souls or bloodborne. I never needed more than 2 tries for any boss this fucking game threw at me and now this fucker comes along and ruins my day. The purpose of the wheel is to use quickstep R1s, and flat arc gems are what make it so dangerous. It still has good damage with other attacks in its moveset using flat arc gems, and while nourishing gems will make the rest of its moveset a bit better, you're losing out on its bread and butter.

I'm loving them, often able to unload a full 20 end bar of attacks into Ludwig and laurence. Visually it's amazing to play as well, feel like total bad ass. The hunter for more enemies to keep your beast hood high during the regular level is fun too. Like a hungry beast.
I just went for the first time into chalice to get these claws, don't regret it one bit I even used a blood rock on em. I don't have any experience with them in pvp, except for killing one invader as a cooperator. People will tell you they're bad, but they're perfectly viable for pve.
I did have to take them off for defiled Amy though, needed something longer to reach the arms and head in time.
I'm not getting any hits trying to get summoned in lower pthumeru chalice. Is BL 42 too low for the general population? I'm not having trouble with the mobs...

I do not fucking understand the thinking behind the barefist moveset.
They gave the unarmed fist a hugely extensive moveset, with no fucking damage.
They bothered animation and balancing of hitboxes and things for something that literally does like 5 damage on a player per hit.

The Gratias Fist actually goes really well with weapons that have shit stagger. Normally an enemy would poise your attack or your next attack or you'd be unable to get away, but with gratias fist you can pop out a jab and lock them in place and stunlock them for a guaranteed pseudo combo.
Works really well with the barefist moveset on kos parasite too because the unarmed moveset has shit all stun, but it's fast and combos in well with the other fist.

BoM is pretty shit unless you stack end because it' is horrible stamina inefficient for its damage. With lots of end (I have 20 on this character and 2 runes, I still feel like I could use more) it's a good pve weapon. Mashing R1 while tricked does assloads of damage because the attack speed ramps up as long as you have the stamina to keep going, and both its dodge attack and R2s hit hard if you need to keep moving.
If you mean for pvp then it's nothing special. Obviously nobody will let you sit on them and mash R1 so you mostly just end up spamming dodge attack and don't really need any special amount of stam. BoM in pvp is like a slightly less shit beast claws that gets hard countered by a wooden shield.

Anyways, killing fire cleric dude gives you a rune that makes you a beast. If you were ever a fan of the Beast Claw weapon and thought it needed a serious buff, that rune is the serious buff it needs. What is with this bullshit area? I have lost over 100k echoes trying to explore this fucking thing. I haven't even rotated the staircases yet. Gem crafting sounds like a rad idea. You could make it so you can craft a certain type of gem using X amount of it's type, so that you'd still have to do a bit of grinding to get the right type and tier of gem but then you could just craft it into what you wanted.

The annoying part about farming them isn't the drop rate, it's getting them to appear in the first place. Here's the rules:
Bloodlickers only appear after you visceral "strong" enemies. The pickaxe gravedigger dudes, anything that could guard a lever like merciless watchers, brainsuckers, or silverbeasts, that sort of thing. Trash mobs aren't good enough.
You'll only get one bloodlicker per enemy. Visceraling one enemy multiple times will only get you one licker, so there's no reason to not just one shot everything.
They don't spawn every time, the spawn rate is actually closer to 1/3rd or less. That's the frustrating part.
After you visceral, leave the room and wander for a bit. If you go two rooms away and come back, the bloodlicker should've spawned by then.
I'm not actually sure if they have secondary effects or not. I only know how they appear and how to farm them because I've been meaning to make a bloodtinge build for a long time now, but I've yet to actually go through with it.

What I do is get to a medium distance and dodge back and forth. Don't try to get close, you can't stop that rape train. Dodging left and right with quicksteps I was totally immune, they'll run out of bullets if they keep trying to hit you that way.

Funnest time I've had with any of the DLC weapons, took my STR 90 character to 120 for 50 str 25 skl.
So much fun. Unloading huge combos on bosses, swinging 3 times while a host dodges you but still having stamina for an R2 which is longer range... I am basically jizzing all the time. And the jump attack doesn't have auto tracking, but it can be manually aimed.

Honestly, most of that is highly dependent on what kind of build you're running. A bloodtinge build would need to visit cainhurst even when no other build would, a high arcane build would need to take a trip through upper cathedral for ACB, etc. Beast claw builds technically don't even need to kill Rom if they aren't worried about perfect radials.

No one has figured out the exact mechanism for it. Best guess is invading and killing NPCs flags you as 'blood-addled'.
If you summon or are summoned by a blood-addled player, there's a roughly 30% chance you'll go hostile against them. When this happens, the summoned player will be purple instead of blue. Yes, they'll know you're a hunter of hunters because the title above your name will say so, and also you'll be fucking purple.

Basically the dorkmoons of BB.
When people kill npcs or invade and kill hosts they build some invisible sin-like meter. When it reaches a certain threshold, they get a blood-addled status (basically sinner) that makes them a target for HoH. When you're summoned into the world of a blood-addled beckoner via the small resonant bell and you're wearing the hunter rune, you'll become hostile to them and summon as a purple spirit instead of a normal one.
It's somewhat inconsistent, which means that it's either bugged, or becoming hostile is only chance-based.
It's kind of stupid since you can only HoH invade through the co-op bell, it's a crapshoot whether you're going to get a friendly host and co-op, or a hostile one and pvp.

there is always a small chance when you invade other players that you will be marked as a bloodaddled hunter. I remember reading that the chance to be marked was very low.
The only way you'd ever get this to trigger is to kill a character who has invaded alot and because they didnt allow invasions to happen boss absent areas this mechanic gets little use. This new dlc is the best place to trigger it though because people are clearing it on their invasion characters.
