1904 – Theodore Roosevelt articulated his "Corollary" to the Monroe Doctrine, stating that the U.S. would intervene in the Western Hemisphere should Latin American governments prove incapable or unstable.
1917 – Finland declares independence from Russia.

What do you change about the Vicky formula? What do you add, remove, and keep the same?Personally, I would want a way that you could buy and sell colonial states, and maybe add ways that colonies could more easily change hands in peace deals. I'd also improve the immigration and assimilation systems to be more dynamic, but I'm not quite sure on the specifics.

Instead of country, you play a "party", a group of people of the elite. Aristocrats, communists, whatever. Also, would be great if it is apart from the nation per se - you are an aristocratic group based on London, but can influence worldwide, as far as your influence reaches.
