Well actually after enabling file selection and all that through the ini, the game refused to generate a plugins.txt file like it does for Skyrim, so there has been no method for me outside of NMM to enable mods, and until right now it's never actually been a problem to use.

Holy shit just stop modding. I never used file selection in any Bethesda game.
There is a file called plugins.txt in appdata, if you install a mod you just add modname.esp in there, if you uninstall it you remove it. Literally faster than open launcher or any mod manager.I manage a crash free Skyrim with nearly a 100 mods all manually. Crashes are because people don't even have a vague comprehension of what they actually install. I study the contents of a mod if loose files to get an understanding of its inner workings.

Because it would feel retarded for the Brotherhood aligned player to be followed around by and order around his/her own Elder.
From the looks of it you'd get the chance to start a civil war, with the Brotherhood torn between Team Danse and Team Maxson, with the members of Team Danse probably supporting him for Elder.
If this cut content gets modded back in, I hope you get the chance to be nominated Elder only if your approval is at maximum with Danse and the people who support Danse like you (IE you've done quests for them). Otherwise Danse becomes Elder and you lose him as a companion permanently.

I feel like this quest could have gone two ways if Danse became an Elder. Either A) Danse is now the Elder, and the Brotherhood continues to Brotherhood but with Railroad support and Brotherhood Outcasts again, or B) if you are actually on the Institute's side, the Institute now can use Danse to control the Brotherhood, and the Outcasts are the true Brotherhood.

Anyone else pissed at the lack of side quests? I get It's a different developer and they did a great job at FO:3 for It's time but this game Is a huge disappointment. Not only the morally grey factions, the fact that they shrunk the damn map promising they'd make the wasteland more dense with quests and locations. Don't get me wrong, some of the locations tell interesting stories but there Is nearly no reason to continue playing after completing the handful of side quests as the infinite quests are bland and repetitive. I feel like mods will be the saving grace for this game, only issue Is Fallout 4 Is a game that Is immersive than the other iterations and having non-voiced npcs would be kinda pathetic at this point. Thing Is most modders suck at voice acting so throwing more money at Bethesda for three hours of DLC that should've been In the base game as It Is Is probably our only option. Huge disappointment for me, I feel like we saw the last good Fallout ( NV ) and probably won't get another one. Goodnight sweet prince.

Alright so I am having an infuriating glitch I cant figure out how to fix.
Tinker Tom is supposed to teach you how to do some new armor mods once you do PAM's DIA cache quests. I did those and he will not teach the new mods to me, even though Drummer Boy tells me to go talk to him every time I go to the safe house.

The only heavy weapons worth a shit is the Flamer and Missile Launcher.
Even on Normal/Easy, it takes a good long time to kill something with the minigun/gatling.
With a fully upgraded non-magic Gatling it took around 1100 rounds to kill 2 bears on survival.
The Flamer is upgradeable with no crafting skills and itll do insane amounts of damage
Missile Launcher + Heavy Gunner + Explosive expert = sweeper. itll clear rooms, knock out big baddies

Instead of Deacon, this would result in Glory being a follower and Deacon being the one to die. The raid on the institute wouldn't involve an evacuation of Synths and scientists alike but a wholesale extermination of institute scientists and workers by the reprogrammed Synths, over whom Glory would be in charge.

Like, you of course start off wit hthe base American flag, and can get he Minutemen one by acception Garvey's offer to become part of the Minutemen, and help him rebuild it, that much seems pretty straightforward.
Then I start my game up just now, and noticed I have the Brotherhood of Steel orange flag unlocked, but I haven't even helped Danse recover that signal amplifier thing yet. I can't find a page that explains what triggers unlocking shit, all I know is I helped Danse fend off the ghouls, and I've done that before without getting the new flag option. I forget the name of these ruins, but they were pretty fun, entered through the base of a satellite
Pretty empty except for some turrets, then you find all the synths in the building, had some fun picking them off
I explore further and a fucking deathclaw drops down, I shot a couple rounds and ran as fast as I could, being a low level I had to cheese him.
Then as I go back the way I came, I find more synths who came in after I had already been there, which was a really nice touch.

"violently dumbed down" from what? Fallout 3? Get over it, It's been 7 years. Fallout 1 and 2 always had massive power creep, always had ridiculously over powered shit, and always had a lot of ways to trivialize the game. Certainly they had more variance and potential builds but Fallout was not super hard, yeah Fallout 3 is dumbed down in being a shooter and stats matter less, but Fallout 4 only improved on that so I don't get the issue.
