I can only really speak for myself, and hope that if you feel about stuff similarly to myself, that it'll help you. Scholar is REALLY bad, even worse than Dark Souls 2 Vanilla. The additions are the DLCs for free basically, which is nice (even though they're really bad), and the actual new content is kinda minuscule. Instead of fixing all of the problems from vanilla, the dev team instead opted to compound them even more so by making the enemy placements pants on head retarded. Some are ok, whatever, but a lot are either sending a million hyper aggressive guys at you, or incredibly jarring like putting an executioner's chariot in the middle of the upper floor of Drangleic Castle.

Alright, first of all, don't wander too deep into the cave because you'll aggro the giant skeletons. There are 4-5 lil skellingtons that'll rush at you, so you either 1-2 hit kill them (a weapon +10 should do it), have enough poise to walk beside them, or bring a divine weapon to stop them from reviving; Nito itself can damage them so he can kill them with the AoE spells for you during the fight, although they'll revive

Is not random, is a spell that Nito casts; you should hear a scream before the attack, so you'll have to time a roll between the scream and the attack
