Start cubing up until epic and stick to that until you get to the 140/150 equipment. You can just transfer potentials to any new piece of gear you get, so long as the two gear pieces are within 10 levels of each other and are equipped in the same slot.
But generally speaking, you should cube as late as you can. Some classes like mages have retarded level scaling, Blue Marine as an example is lv 95 while the staff after that one is 110.
Blue Czar is 108 while the next robe is 120 etc.

Reboot is fun, don't worry about leveling up because it's really easy right now. Christmas boxes can have bonus exp buffs in them. And once you hit level 33 you can do a daily check in and on the first day you get a necklace that gives 10% bonus exp every hour you're logged in up to 30%. And the burning event is happening so at level 33 you can pick a character per server and for every level up they get three instead.

Some bosses like Hilla and Pink Bean will cast Damage Reflect every once in a while, which is probably the most troublesome thing a boss can do to you.

We didn't have this particular exploit in KMS because we stopped using the GMS cash shop a few years back. I think a year and a half or so actually. KMS has been going down every day for a couple hours if it makes you GMS players feel any better though, it's going down in 20 minutes for a 3 hour maintenance to fix more bugs they found with the blockbuster.
