Well, if you're willing to put in work, you can get results from almost anything in this game. Firesword himself uses a very specialized build/gear and desu he does more damage than a lot of people i see in pugsnever die during limit break = toppest deepsplus the difficulty in this game is low enough that anyone with a functioning brain can steamroll shit. Let him make the choice for himself, worst thing that could happen is that he decides to pick up another class.

Tanks aren't really necessary nor effective in best case scenarios here, but they're not bad. You wreck shit when you get the chance, just get the 12* GS pot sword, spec chase, massive hunter, use the shit out of every super armor PA and massive on bosses + ignite. GSAdvance is pretty damn easy to proc due to All Guard, and the free PP and healing means your 1.2x counterattack pays for itself. You can go real ham on ult and not give any fucks. War Brave shit up for free and damage periodically.
He'll still lag behind others in anything but Ult or high HP mobs in XH but he won't be awful.

TE/HU is truly the closest to a useful tank class there is: fuckhuge defense, CC, aggro keeping (though CC) and top damage vs mobs, but its utility is kinda limited to UQ.

The damage dealt part is based off of the amount your doing proportional to the enemy's maximum HP, which is why it fills up much more quickly in easier difficulties than it does in higher ones

Hi! I'm not new to the PSO2 general, but I'm new to redroom. Or rather, I started frequently visiting about two months ago. I've currently visited as 4 characters.
TohsakaLoli Rin, Etna, Platinum, and Elesis Sieghart (this also being my ARKS name).
I sort of have an infatuation with making characters mainly because of how versatile PSO2's costume collection is. I also enjoy socializing, and I honestly talk to people often. I like the community so far, despite the mixed reviews I've heard.
And I can't say I dislike anyone, though I can't say the same about others towards me. I'm also very lazy, and a bit of a recluse sometimes so that's why I don't lurk general much.
That aside, I've been playing since September 15th 2015, but I've had my account since 2013. I just didn't get to play it at the time. I came to PSO2 from DFO, League of Cancer, and Elsword. And PSO2 is sort of my second home now.

How in the hell can you call using bugs and exploits as "skills" in a game? PSO2 is the worst game in the Phantasy Star series. Why can't you play the game it was intended to be? I played with a few of my friends who only played the same freaking class! PSO2 becomes a boring game as you see almost every MPA has the same guys playing Br/Gu and Fo with the same pay2win affixes killing everything in one hit before you can even get close. No, the point for matching elements when using wands is to prevent Element Weak Hit from going to waste on whacks (TE/HU or TE/BR).
For tech casting (TE/BR) any wand will do as long as you match technique element, but spamming techs like that will cut your versatility/overall damage in half because no melee, it really doesn't come close to a FO main casting.

As Br/Hu, I can do 5-6 min runs on Shironia solo, thanks to all mobs weakness being convenient for spamming Guren Tessen. The mobs in Shirona give alot of kill points, so at most you need like 2-3 packs of them to get S Rank. GGG is a very easy boss, just wait til' he does his nothing personnel attack at the start (He'll always do it), then attack his head.
Katana Combat, work on a foot, then when he limps down, KC Ender, should break the Stomach part easy. All that is left is the other foot, and to break horn from it when he limps again.

I still run around with crafted slayers because for me they still come out on par or even better that a non-weak 13* 60 ele, but that's only because I run around with a ridiculous amount of DEX myself.

Wands have a medium/high ATK value, which goes to crazy high after Wand Reactor since the extra ATK will be added to weapon base.
After running a quick sim, min damage on an ex13 red should be 69% with 700 DEX, goes down to 41% on "default" 500 DEX.

Note the parentheses in the wand section, that's from the effect of wand reactor (the dex requirement shoots up). To clarify further, this is the amount of dex you need OVER the enemy's amount, and a high level enemy has around 410~ dex.

Damage increase from potential should be put into that "potential ability %" field of the weapon section: 16 for red, 14 for summit, 12 gal...
Better to leave the enemy section as is for the regular strike, maybe fiddle with their DEX to see how variance fares against XH/UQ enemies.

The problem is gaijin are a small part of this game's community to begin with. Getting a group of people who don't suck and get along with each other in itself is a difficult thing to accomplish and maintain.
