>How do I connect to [server]?
1. Register on a private server that hosts the same game client you have.
2. Copy their realmlist URL. This can usually be found on the main page of the website or on their registration page.
3. Look for a realmlist.wtf file in your WoW folder. This may either be in the root folder, or inside Wow/Data/enUS/
4. Open the realmlist.wtf file in a text editor such as Notepad and paste in the realmlist settings of the server. Make sure it starts with 'set realmlist' followed by the realmlist URL.

You will need a clean wow.exe and dll files if you downloaded your WoW client from XYZ server. Check the clients section above.

never played on wowfreakz desu , can't compare both as it is the only server i played MoP on.
It's pretty chill, everyone can speak decent english and the GMs are based. Some quests are bugged so if you just screen it they'll give you the drops without REALLY investigating it. It goes down for maintenance 20 minutes every 24 hours I think and it's around 2 AM CET time.
The raids are meh. I liked the WotLK raids more desu, but they all work fine. Not as frequent as I would like but it's acceptable.
PvP is more popular on the server for some reason, but I never really got into it, I like PvE more.

In Wrath they introduced the idea of "whenever we add a new raid, let's make heroics drop gear good enough to do those raids".
Why would I bother playing this server if, when Ulduar is released, gear from heroics is as good as gear from Naxx. And when the tournament is released, gear from heroics is as good as gear from Ulduar. And when ICC is released, gear from heroics is as good as gear from the Tournament.
Vanilla and TBC didn't have this problem, as the progression ladder was real.
I played Wrath when the tournament came out, and literally NO ONE ran Naxx because gear from heroics was objectively better than Naxx gear.

I guess it's because there was a proper documentation about Cata raids (in-game journal helps too), so developing raids for Cata can be much more accurate. A lot of stuff on GD tries to imitate retail, but it's clearly not 100% blizzlike (like LDW adds/ghosts/timers).
To put is better, you would have a hard time telling if a given kill video comes from retail or atlantiss, whereas in case of GD you can instantly tell that a particular killshot comes from a private server.
