decided to restart my game and do survival instead.
since the game is piss easy i went with a more fun/charisma build instead.
2 str (3 str total with bobble head) for the armorer perk
3 perception (4 with bobble head) for locksmith perk
1 endurance
9 charisma (10 from bobble head) for local leader and just having better dialogue options
9 intelligence (10 from bobble head) for faster EXP, gun nut, science all that good stuff
2 agi (3 from bobble head) for sneak perk. but honestly i won't be using sneak either cause it makes the game too easy
2 luck (3 from special book) for bloody mess perk because that's always fun
I'm not dumping any points into the damaging perks because im trying to make this game actually difficult and even in survival this is piss easy.
it's been a fun build so far, definitely convinced that charisma is best option if you want to have a more fun experience.

Wait until it says [Le hidden nigga] and Danse is facing away from you.
Go into VATS.
Aim at his Fusion Core.
Use the LAZOR RIFFLE he gives you cause it deals double Crit damage.
Shoot him in the fusion core with a crit shot.
Make sure your crit meter is full.
The core should blow up in a single shot, and Danse will exit his armour.
There's also a 98% chance he'll be hostile towards you. But at least you'll have his armour.

The first two Minutemen quests have steep difficulty spikes, I'm surprised most radiant quests are not like that. Besides, you can get ammo and resources without resistance by re-looting already cleared locations.

Same bug as when somebody made Nat use a PA, there's even a webm about it. The issue is that Nick's clothing shouldn't be changed under any circumstance but artificial solutions like this could overwrite it.
I suggest fixing it trough the console. Prid his ID and list what he has with the showinventory command, then try the unequipitem command followed by the PA's ID. Don't forget to save before trying.

That was the point. She was looking for an excuse to get away from her sister because she was afraid that she was a horrible influence on her and didn't want Nat to grow up to be like her. You show up in town, tell her about how your kid was kidnapped, and she offers to help you find him.
If you want to be canon about it, she was agreeing to take you to Nick, and have him help you look in to it. If you fuck off and start doing side quests, of course it won't make sense. You two were only supposed to go seek his help, find out he's been captured, rescue him, find out the institute was most likely involved in the kidnapping, and then at that point she's supposed to want to travel with you throughout the commonwealth because it's an institute kidnapping and she wants to report on it.
Besides, the SS tells her to get her shit together and to quit being afraid of Nat and what kind of person she'll become.
If you need some kind of explination on how the paper keeps running, I like to think she writes stories as we're travelling and either sends them back to DC via caravan or drops them off with Nat since you're supposed to visit DC quite a bit anyways.Also Nat hides yum yum deviled eggs in Piper's room because she's mad at her. She's going through her rebellious teen years, and that's just her way of saying 'Piper Stinks!' without looking like a total asshat.

You'll know you fucked up because you will have to defend the Castle twice, the first one will be the Institute's synths and after that a new questline opens where you defend the Castle again from the BoS who will send a few Vertibirds and Knights that will fuck your shit up if you don't have missile turrets.
You will blow up the Prydwen before advancing to the final quest with the Institute.

So, in Fallout 1 the merchants in the Hub right in it's creation decided to use bottlecaps because of their limited supply, because most of the technology needed to create them were lost and because they were widely available, and they were backed by the water price.
In Fallout 2, bottlecaps lost their value because the NCR conquered all that portion and now had money backed by their gold reserves.
By the time of Fallout New Vegas, bottlecaps are used as currency again because the BoS raided NCR's gold reserves which devaluated the money since they couldn't print gold or silver coins and the citizens and merchants didn't believe that the NCR could back the value listed on paper or NCR's economic stability.
But what backs bottlecaps in Fallout 3 and 4?
