Jag if you want speedy setup, Southern Hospitality if you want to give Spies a bad day. Pyros won't come near your nest anyway.
Rescue Ranger if you want to ensure your sentries longevity, Shotgun if you want to hold your own if everything goes south.
It really comes down to your preferred style, there's no set standard for Engineer loadouts.

Strength: 10/10 you almost always want this
Resistance: There's better powerups but this is solid
Vampire: Great for soldier, pretty good for other classes too, generally better than resistance for staying alive

Regeneration: Great for classes like Scout. Scout becomes invincible with this.

sorry to say this but just because you got 1 of each class doesn't mean the gamemode is better
you can play whatever you want but you cant argue that the "cookie cutter" 6 player teams is pretty much the best for almost any map. thats not to say that you are forced to do it. As long as you dont get reported you can go perma sniper or even perma heavy, like a lot of people did in Europe for some time. It's not against the 6v6 rules, although TF2Center shitty admins want to enforce a rule of no offclassing for an arbitrary specific amount of time.
