I'd say a good 70% of the time UK manages to hold off enemies, usually France, from invading. They absolutely suck at invading the mainland, though (usually send a few stacks, occupy the coast and gets BTFO by France).
The other 30% they get fully occupied, get constant rebels enforcing, lose Ireland, Canada and India and basically become a meme for the rest of the game.
