This post is my love letter to the /mgg/ of yesteryear since sometimes I miss the good times with the oldfags and some of you may still be here to read it:I will confirm there is no new content that will be added to MGSV. There's nothing that's going to be added that you haven't seen before. I mean, Konami is still sitting on various MGO hats and other pointless moneymoney bullshit, but what's gone is gone. Chapter 3 was legitimately dropped due to story pacing and unbalanced content. It's not coming as DLC. It's not coming as MGS6. It's not coming. It's just a DVD extra and that's it. Kojima Productions and Kojima Productions Los Angeles are done, period.That said, while there is no new content to be added to MGSV, there is one thing from the first part of MGSV that has yet to be carried over to the second. Something that will not add to the game, but something that will take away. I don't know what will or will not be affected by it and I'm certain the number of people who do know is very small. I didn't understand the significance of its potential at the time, and until recently I'd assumed it was abandoned along with other odds and ends, but I can now confirm that it is on its way at some point. Damage has already been done, but I wouldn't mind a better game. For me, that would mean a better story, a better world, better character development, nocut content, a better, more alive MB that actually had more uses, less repetitive side-ops, better writing, and a non-repetitive chapter 2 I guess, or you could just put more missions in it, either way.

I know snake is capped at A++ or whatever, and I know you can eventually get soldiers who rank higher than him. What gameplay stuff does this change however when you play as them? Lets say I have a soldier who is full rank in everything, if I choose to play as them then what gameplay differences are there?
Also can playable soldiers get more than one skill? When I play as snake I can run around with faster reloads and faster crawl speed and all the passive bonuses you can spend D-Dollars on. Playing as a different character with one skill just seems like gimping yourself.
Do I have to participate in the FOB shit? I don't want to at the moment as I just want to continue with the story and side ops, unlocking better soldiers. Will people steal good stuff from my base? Should I get to defending it straight away?

FOBs will give you a bonus for using a soldier with a low Combat Aptitude. Otherwise, nothing. There's a rumor that higher Combat Aptitude increases HP/Damage resistance, but AFAIK it's just a rumor.

I give up trying to get No Traces on Mission 18 Blood Runs Deep.
This is just like mission where you extract Huey and face Sahalanthrapos at the end, except in that one you're forced to shoot, where as here you're all but forced to be seen (or the children get seen).
It's amazing how such great missions, where you have such a different amount of ways you can tackle them, get fucked in the end by forced action. I saw prenatual's video in the end, but that's just fucking pathetic - using the dog to stun lock guards and shit. It's sloppy as all hell, and not worth the effect. I'm pretty fucking annoyed. Spent About two days trying to No Trace this shit. What a waste.
