I've began winning more battles now, but they all absorb so much damage. 15 landed strikes just to take out a human opponent and 25 to take out a single Ghoul seems excessive. That includes critical hits

Witcher 3 is in my top 10 favorite games of all time but to kid yourselfi into thinking it's even close to Gothic series in terms of depth, variety and all round RPG mechanics is a laughable statement. I've completed Witcher 3 once and have yet to find a reason to play it again, every build plays more or less the same, quests rarely have branching paths and when they do they are hardly worth a second playthrough etc. Witcher 3 is a pretty linear experience when you look at it objectively, whereas Gothic/Morrowind and other sandbox RPGs thrive in their variety and replayability, Witcher 3 excels in its linear narrative.

Zoltan or the dude that does Morkvarg has my vote. I also loved Dethmold's, Henselt's, Foltest's, even Radovid's. It's hard to decide when you get to the upper tier. They had so many amazing ones.
For women...Yen, obviously. Keira. Philippa. Cerys. The Crones are wonderfully evil. Priscilla's VA gets bonus points for actually being able to sing, unlike Dandelion's.
