Why are most visual novels so small? Newer ones barely output at 720p somtimes. Even Steins Gate, which was literally on a console at somepoint at 720p, plays on computers at fucking 1024x576. I'm not even all that worried about the art, it scales alright, but the text is often so shitty.

Eh... I don't think the PSP version really added anything, and it's not like the H-scenes really detracted much. It's just that I didn't feel they were all that necessary. Also PSP will have piss small resolution unless you really really want to play it on a handheld. PS2 probably has shitty interlacing artifacts as most PS2 games did so I'd avoid that as well.
PC with voice patch is probably the comfiest and most definitive way to enjoy the game.

Not really. There are 3 routes. Fate, UBW and Heaven's Feel. When you play the first hours of Fate, you can skip it in UBW since it's the exact same scenes. Same for Heaven's Feel. So unless you want to re read unecessary stuff, I'd say it's more like 50h. Also, it's really worth it to read each route, they're completely different and you learn the "true" story with each route.

It's been awhile so I don't remember the events of the ending, but it's literally exactly the same as Taiga's route except at the very end if you choose to talk to Minori instead of Taiga then he gets together with Minori.
I do remember the epilogue though. Minori and Ryuji are newlyweds, Minori is on Japan's softball team and Ryuji is the team's nutritionist.
