I agree. The older Megaten fans used to find all this untranslated media and kind of cling to it. They'd power through Japanese games and sometimes even learn the language, without bitching about games not coming out in English. It's why Soul Hackers used to be so hyped up. Luckily the hype was mostly justified.

From what I understand, experiments or phenomena (STEVEN's teleportation system, the Shwartzwelt, etc) can link the material world to another plain of existence were human thoughts become reality. Demons are manifestations of these human thoughts drawn from this expanse.
Meanwhile in Persona, traditional demon manifestations are capable of handing over tarot cards that Philemon/Igor can smith into Persona, which are a manifestation of the masks people wear to overcome hardship blah blah psychology whatever.
Any demon manifestations that aren't specifically invoked by a teen/young adult screaming "PERSONA!!" are Demons (ie Izanami, Ishtar, etc). Everything else is a demon.

PSP is easy to run on a laptop. You need an actual GPU to run anything PS2 at decent speed, I could do about 20fps average on DDS, but emulating most other things led to stuttering all over the place.
