1) I installed freemultipatcher back when 10.2 was the last update. I never used it anyway as I didn't need to play online or access eshop. Do I need to download a newer version and reinstall it to makes use of it? How does it work?

I've gone through numerous CIA files(that are likely copies of the same one), and I for the love of me cannot solve this problem. Sonic Lost World in CIA form will not load on my JP 9.5 Gateway N3DS. I don't understand why, and I've even tried "region-free" CIA files. Does anyone know why this is happening? Has anyone had a similar experience? Yes but for Old 3DS only and you need the latest version of gateway. New 3DS can't go past 9.5 emunand.

The thread made it sound like you can't just firmware spoof the N3DS and then transfer the N3DS XL to its emunand. I saw he said a way around this issue if you have a device above 9.2 was to transfer to an O3DS with CFW, but I guess that only helps people whose updated 3DS they want to transfer from is an O3DS.

Pretty sure Gateway requires you actually buy the thing doesn't it? Which is actually somewhat expensive last I checked, rxTools is free so probably preferable. Only thing you lose out on is ability to run .3ds/.3dz games without needing to install them.

Well yeah, Gateway is the easiest way if you own one, but I wouldn't buy a $60-80 flash card just to use it for that purpose. Just use the browser hack.

Theme hax let's you auto boot into cfw when you turn the system on but it requires 9.0-9.2
MSET lets you boot into cfw by going to the ds profile in system settings. You have to do it everytime you want to get to CFW
Both are offline options but i prefer themehax because its more convenient

you NEED intelPC, since that is the partition table type for the fat32 GATEWAYNAND.
The emunand "partition" just shows up as non formatted space in windows, so you don't need to worry about that.
