Hey /d2g/, which keyboard keys would you say are important for Dota if chatting isn't involved?
I do some keyboard modding as a hobby and thought about trying my hand at making an arcade-style Dota controller from scratch for all the keyboard functions. I'm at the design stage for the first revision right now, trying to figure out how many keys - and which ones - should be on the thing.
The goal is to basically have a panel of custom engraved buttons that depict what they're meant to do on a very well-defined layout instead of having the fingers dance around the keyboard all the time like pic related.
There's the six skill buttons, six item buttons, autocast toggle, chat wheel, voice chat push to talk, glyph, scoreboard, pause, screenshot(?), attack, move, stop, hold, select unit, select all, select all other, courier, action, taunt, control group cycle, 10 control groups (is 10 the max or are players allowed to set more in console?), alt, ctrl, and shift. Anything else? I'm not sure if I should go with the minimum number of keys possible or just go ham on all possible key options in the screen menu and also accomodate room for the set of cheater macros pros use which is why I'm asking which ones you guys think are important / necessary.

You realize that with region locking your matchmaking searching rates will increase, right?
Even now you have to wait ~5 minutes to find a game but with region lock you will have to wait like 25 minutes.
A lot of people would stop playing it and your searching time will increase even more.
Dota inhouse leagues always sucked because of it. Locking bad players from playing with good players always ends the same way - good players struggle to find enough good players to play and eventually stop playing at all.
And that's about "good players", now let's think about normal baddies from your region. With no PERU / RUSSIA / SEA to blame you'll proceed to shit on each other instead.
