How the fuck does anyone play ranked? Whenever I try a deck I instantly get my worst match-ups possible and drop a bunch of stars, and then if I switch decks I'll instantly get the worst match-ups for them and then even if I do rise in the ranks I'll start drawing like shit and lose 5 more games in a row because I somehow don't manage to draw any of my early game against a bunch of aggro decks. The only people complaining about explosive are aggro shitters themselves.
So with the decision to give paladin all the super strong cards for their cost (minibot, muster, dr 6, tyrone, divine favour are the main offenders but there's more) IMO Blizz has simply fucked themselves over, at least temporarily.
Each new expansion now will have to compare to those cards across all classes. This is power creep at it's finest. The general power level of mid range decks is now dictated by paladin and shredder. They've been trying to dodge the issue but there's only so many 4 mana 3/5s you can make, and only so many 2 drops that can be designed to be as good as minibot.
There's no going back now, but it makes me wonder - formats might just be the best thing to happen to this game, if done correctly. In a new format, some of those older, arguably overvalued cards like Leper gnome, Juggler or mad scientist can be changed and meta can have a clean new start. Sure, there would be new broken cards, but those old stinkers that pollute every aggro and mid range deck would be gone. Hopefully they would've learned by now and decide that cards like esportal or boom are not ok. Paladin power level would go down, which I think we can all agree would be a good thing.
Don't get me wrong, this is not just about paladin; I think we can all agree that this game will implode on itself with all the broken tempo enablers Blizz keeps printing sooner or later if we don't have formats. I, for one, am excited about that possibility.

I swapped repentance for sacred trial
And dropped 1 Secret Keeper (She's a lot like zombie chow in terms of her early game power, you dont really wanna draw her any later than turn 1/2 ever, and she's only there to make up for drawing secrets early).

Im not seeing why you'd run repentance. If the enemy plays around it you just end up activating it on a 1 drop or something.
Its impossible for the enemy to play around Sacred Trial without sacking minions they may not have wanted to sack to begin with.

Patron has been doing well for me this season. It doesn't matter if it is worse than the old deck, it only needs to be good enough. Warlocks can be a problem but Control Warrior dying would take one of the worst matchups away.

Half of arena is what's in your deck, the other half is what is in your opponent's deck. If you already understand how to play the game and got a half decent deck then I see no reason why you can't go 7 or 8 wins. Be happy that you play with modern druid, I had to get my golden druid when games devolved to drawing wild growth early or dying. I'm sick of the class now and don't touch it.
On the other hand, I'm at about 450+ wins with warrior right now, and I'm really enjoying myself. It's not a braindead class so it's fun even if you lose because you feel like you actually made some decisions.
I like to think of druid as kind of a hunter that instead of chipping your health away, stores up all the damage and then delivers it in one big blow. Druid is very much an aggro class

I see Secrets Paladin and I don't see a legend deck. Like any of us I've seen a lot of those decks around and I even have a friend who runs that shit and he's not a bad player.
Still I don't see how that deck is supposed to get you to legend... I believe there are far better decks. Mysterious Challenger is a great card, nobody can say otherwise, but it doesn't seem to fit correctly in the deck.

In the WoW:TCG these somewhat common Hunter cards worked differently.
>Multi-Shot
Multi-shot used to be a 5 mana, pick up to 3 targets and deal 2 damage to each of them, 1 of the targets could be face.
>Steady Shot
You would cast it for 3 mana, and then every turn after that you would do 1 damage for free to face. You could have up to 4 of these in your 60 card deck.
>Arcane Shot
This was a 2 mana (instant!) ability that dealt 1 damage to face, but you drew a card after casting it
Beast synergy also worked nothing like HS.
For example, most of the "beasts" were "Pets" (some demons were also pets, namely succubi and imps).
Unless you had a hero or ongoing spell that said otherwise, you could never have more than 1 pet on the field at a time (playing a new one forced you to destroy one immediately).
However, most hunters either through their hero, or through their spells had loads of cards that buffed their pets, or gave them a windfury like ability.
Hunter weapons tended to be really fucking weak for their cost, but either had fun effects (particularly the guns), or gave long-range (gladiator longbow effect).
Rexxar was also just a minion instead of a Hero.
And lastly, towards the end of the game's lifespan, one of the best Hunter decks that didn't rely on a super wombo-combo with spell damage, was the Murloc Hunter.
As in a hunter who used a Murloc for his Hero.
The Hunter Murloc had a power that you could only activate if you did at least 8 damage to your opponent's face in one turn (which wasn't something you could necessarily do, even against decks not built to fuck aggro), but once it was activated it was a passive hero power that gave every single murloc in your deck Charge.
So yes, the Hunter was still super aggro usually with a bunch of shitty little cards that could spam the board, but they required huge synergy or lots of spell damage.and got fucked hard by interrupts, Protectors, and mages.

We change ramp.
In WoW:TCG various decks had ways to ramp.
Warlocks had the ability to force out far more powerful creatures than they should through graveyard mechanics and one card that let them pull crazy shit if they managed to remove key cards from play.
Druids had Harmonize,Harmonize was actually on mostly neutral cards, but Druids had the most synergy with it through spells, a master hero, and a few special druid cards,which said all of your minions that had costs of 4+ cost 1 less per Harmonize effect.
And Mage had a card that cost 1 mana to play, but made it so that every turn after that you had a second set of mana that could only be used to cast spells. Since you could run up to 4 of that card in the deck, you could have up to 4 of those bonus mana crystals.
Oh and as I recall Emerald Dragon decks had straight up ramp, being able to put down multiple resources, and draw more cards, but Emerald Dragons were kind of shit.

I have Van Cleef, Deathwing and WIIIIIIINDS after weeks of working the arena
I'm usually able to reach rank 15 or less with a crappy zoo deck, my winning condition being value from void and double power overwhelming, after that all the other decks I can make are mid range, I ended up investing some of my dust on a patron warrior deck but it got nerfed 4 days later
should I dust all of my legendaries to try to get a secret paladin deck? how effective is a secret paladin deck without doctor boom and tirion?

For anyone wanting to actually build "Discardlock", the trick is to make it an aggro deck. Fill it with the high value discard cards and then run them beside extremely low cost cards so you can empty your deck out quick. Then you can play the deliciously overpowered discard cards at no expense, provided you're comfortable with relying on topdecking them.
