Even without Sharpness+1 it's commanding a great amount of white, decent enough raw for progression and the para is really handy and has great synergy with phial bursts. With sharpness+1 you get 20 purple and more white than you'll possibly burn through in a hunt.
The best part is that it doesn't require any rare parts to make.
The crown jewel of impact CBs is Ceadeus, but it's going to require a lot of investment to make because it requires you to be in G3 and collect around 7 gem/mantle tier items to fully upgrade.
Element CBs are worth making if you want something more specialised. Watatsumi on Gravios is probably the most famous example.

There's a simple LR/HR Gore mix you can make to S+1 and Challenger+2, but you probably don't want to bring that into G-rank and you probably want some level of guard+.
I'd suggest hitting up ASS.
Sharpness+1, RS and Guard+2 are all fairly high priority skills if you want an all-purpose CB set.
If you happen to have a Handicraft+3 or Sharpness+3 talisman you should be able to make a S+1, RS and Guard+2 set when you reach G2.

Most of us feel the tutorial videos are (mostly) fine, there were a few instances of misinformation, but whatever. The X information translations are genuinely useful, though the inane rambling that comes with it not so much.
It's when you start posting videos of you struggling to kill a HR Zinogre in G-rank gear, produce half-baked 'top 5' weapon lists and generally give you bad advice that you give people a reason to openly show distaste towards what you're doing.
It only gets worse when that sort of thing gains a fanbase around it that parrots it like gospel and the author's ego gets massively inflated.

I plan on doing that eventually but for now I must choose a path. I'm not too sure what's the big difference between element and impact but for now the fire element CB I've got is working well against Lagombi, Zamtrios, Gore and so on.
