If you jump out of an avengers cargo hold during Quantum travel (Derek's supposed 'loading screen') you end up millions of KM away from everything in the middle of space.
If it was your ship and you have the little icon over it, you can watch it speed away with it's range getting larger and larger.
There's even a visual bug where you can see glitchy tracer lines from firefights off in the far distance where other relays are.
Derek likes to question everyone elses games because his own are a buggy, unplayable mess.

I jumped into an P52 and flew in one direction in cruise mode for about 30 seconds, that's about 35km away from port Olisar. I stopped the ship and noticed the helmet shake stopped, I flew a bit around and learned that the helmet shake always happens when you go over 150-200m/s. So I stopped again and got out of the ship. Missile Trails stretching about 5 arcseconds completely straight far in the distance at one of the com satellites.

LTI is life time insurance. it's insurance on the HULL ONLY. thus making it not very important because weapons/modules/upgrades will cost more than the ship itself in almost all cases. but people make a big deal out of it so cig throws a bone every now and then.
the delta is a glass cannon right now so if you like that play style then go for it. it;s armed to the teeth for a single-seater but can be brought down within in a couple of seconds by someone who knows what they are doing.

That's not entirely accurate as a statement. "Military spec gear" is usually not what you'd call top-of-the-line. It's definitely not garbage, but it's not exactly the very best you can get either. No military in the history of mankind could afford to give the very best stuff to the majority of their forces, so they keep a standard of quality that sits just-above-average. While I can't tell you with any confidence that Star Citizen is the same way, I would certainly hope so.

I chalk that one up to the fact that there are no shields greater than size 3 and armor has not yet been implemented. The Retaliator has a shittier shield than a Hornet right now.

In a perfect world Corvettes are the U-Boats of Star Citizen. Some anti-fighter capacity and a torpedo tube would be really great. I don't expect them to hold up in a fight very well since they're in the incredibly awkward position of being between a bomber and a frigate on the size scale.

The crucible can repair ships, but can it also fuel, or better, rearm them? Assuming that's true, does rearming only apply to those that can fit into it's hangar like fighters?
This can be really fucking useful to large groups intending to fuck shit up. It would be even better if you can replace the internal repairing equipment for ammo stores, missiles and rockets, ship weapons, sort of like a purchasable variant (BUK?) to swap out or something like that, considering that the entire back is detachable. Then you can have a mobile weapon store, or go with a group intending to attack something.

the gladius and avenger actually have a huge difference in maneuvering now in 2.0 Even with the weaker nose gun on the Gladius, I was killing pirates much faster just because it was easier to hit shit. Though that's with fixed weapons, probably less of of an issue you're flying with a mouse

It's similar to how Guild Wars works I think, you end up instanced with as many as the server can handle, with your friends etc prioritised, but everyone is in the same shared persistent universe.
Likewise, different local areas, everything from PARTS of capital ships to areas of space are partitioned off into different "zones" and hosted on separate servers, despite being able to interact in the same gamespace.
