The thing is, Sakurai made Ganondorf as a last shot in Melee because slot arrangement of some sort, being made at the last time sentenced him to be a forever-clone. Why no de-clone him? Sakurai stated that he does'nt want to make Ganondorf players mad by changing his moveset to something enterily different, thus, hes fucked forever.
Returning to the villager (which I actually like to use, but I agree with you in representation), Sakurai just takes whatever his mind thinks is fit for a move to a character, third-parties are way better thought probably for an agreement with the other company to maintain the character like they were and not to mess with them.

If/when I do get Bob and Punchy decides that he wants to move out, then I'm all up for that. Through Mario Kart 8 DLC and the Wii U Plaza it seemed like they'd been slowly making HD models of everything. I thought this meant a new home console AC was coming soon but now it seems more likely that they released a new game for the Wii U and 3DS as a holdover while they push this new game to the NX. A lot of Nintendo's recent game releases are perhaps just be padding to make the Wii U seem like a more valuable purchase for when they release the NX.
