You don't give villagers to people unless your "void" has a recent moveout in it. The void is where animals stay unless you visit a full town, so just go to one that already has 10 living there.
The Dream Suite is unlocked when you catch Isabelle sleeping in the town hall. Then it's built as a permanent PWP that does not contribute to the cap of 30 projects.

Beetle tipz
6k value = Can be caught out of a run if you time it right. Quite relaxed and won't get disturbed easily.
8k value = Can be caught out of a run if you time it right.
10k value = Can be snuck up on with no rests. Do not walk.
12k value = Will fly away if you don't take a few moments to rest while sneaking. Do not move if they stop wiggling. Watch for their bodies to start wiggling again before you move.
Only ever approach a beetle from the front, or you're likely to miss and hit the tree/ground.
in ACNL, you can only have a maximum of 5 insects and 5 fish spawned at one time. This means that to maximize profit on beetle farming, you should restrict the total 5 insects to the ones that aren't a pain in the ass to get rid of.
If your trees are just not showing any beetles regardless of how long you run back and forth on the red line, go north and see if there's some sand faggots that need to be chased away, or any shells on the beach that weren't there a minute ago. They need to be cleansed before you start getting more stuff to appear.
You cannot block the shells from spawning by blocking all sand adjacent to ocean with another item like coconuts. They just appear behind the sprite.
For maximum efficiency your island should be cleared of any trees and bushes except for: one palm tree on the southern left, one palm tree on the southern right, and a regular fruit tree on the southern middle part of the grass. See diagram.
This ensures that during evening hours, you only have to deal with the following non-beetles:
- sand faggots (hit the net nearby to make them quickly disappear)
- shell snail things (just walk near them and they'll go back to the ocean)
- fruit tree inhabitants that are not a rainbow stag (fruit beetle, rare moth and any dynastid beetle; just run near the tree)
You want that middle tree for one main reason: the rainbow stag. It is often requested by villagers in the summer and it's good to have a way to get them reliably. It also occupies a slot of the 5 insects that is extremely easy to clear, just by running up to it.
If you see tiger beetles on the grass , you're doing this too early in the evening. Try again later.
Your best netting distance is approximately two lines in the sand from the tree. Any less or more you will hit the tree.

I am a huge fanboy of the original AC and think it's by far the best in terms of dialogue and music.. You may get bored sometimes but that's alright because it's meant (as all of them are) to be played in short stints.
It emulates in Dolphin flawlessly but has some CPU stutter on my particular system.

Honestly, despite all the new additions that new leaf brought, the original is still definitely the best version. The gamecube one, I mean. Original for us non-japs.
The thing about it is it provides the best in regards to villager interaction, and probably events too. You really feel like you're living in a strange world filled with talking animal bros. I'm hoping the next mainline game overhauls the dialogue options while bringing back the acre system while keeping all the stuff that makes new leaf and happy home designer great.
