Any tips on finding more T51 armor pieces? I only have 1 full set (made it a stealth suit, need another one as combat suit). T45 is weaker and T60 is pretty expensive to repair.
I only get T45 from spawned location, and T60 even if I loot them from dead BoS knight.

After advancing main quest to about 80% i came to hate every faction in the game. I wanted an option to show middle finger to all factions and walk away into sunset. Is there any way to make the Institute hostile towards me without killing Shaun?. I only sided with the institute because my son is the leader and I wanted to be with him, because the entire plot of the game was to find your son. I had no problem making the BoS angry because they are a bunch of dicks, but now he wants me to kill the Railroad. They are good guys, I don't want to do it. Especially since it will probably make Piper hate me and she is my waifu. I decided to side with the Minutemen, but I read that the only way to trigger their questline is to make the Institute hostile. I want it to be like I still love my son, but I'm disappointed in the path he has chosen and can't support him any longer. Will doing this make the BoS not hostile anymore too, or will they be hostile forever?
Also on an unrelated note, how do I check my companions approval level? I keep typing "getav CA_affinity" into the console, but nothing is happening. Am I typing something wrong or what.

Specifically, oil was damn near impossible to come by in large enough quantities to produce gasoline. Small quantities of at least partially synthetic crap for machining use wouldn't be particularly rare.
Also, the Resource Wars hadn't been going on but for a few years as of the bombs dropping - there would still feasibly be people with decent amounts of gasoline or oil around, especially since most cars were nuclear-powered.
At Red Rocket, the computer logs mention how rare cars running on non-nuclear materials are, but presumably they still had a decent stock left over from beforehand.

I think the biggest problem with the DLC was 1) trying to tie every bit of DLC together and give the courier an unneeded backstory and 2) not focusing it on the legion. New Vegas' one major flaw is that the Legion were supposed to have more quests associated with them and be something a lot more than cartoon villains; Obsidian originally planned some Legion settlements to show you how civilians under the Legion lived their lives and make the choice of siding with them more tempting for the non /pol/ player. So I finally managed to pickpocket that Raider's fusion core, and I accidentally an interesting bug. I was instantly killed by him, and when I reloaded he was standing in the power armor INSIDE another set of powerarmor. I was able to loot the outer set of power armor, then pickpocket his fuel core again, and when I did the outer set disapeared and he stepped out of a fully equpped suit I was also able to loot. Then it happened again.
I'm trying my best to recreate this bug consistently, and I have a recording of it but I can't seem to get WEBM converter for Bakas to work correctly, so unless someone else has an option I have no way to show you how fucking crazy this is.

You have to enter/exit it, it has different parts that take damage and break, it uses fuel to run, and you get different animations while in it.

But what's important is that joining the brotherhood in all games = getting your own suit of power armor. Something that the BoS almost always had a monopoly on.
The institute doesn't even build power armor. Granted, they only send robots to fight, but power armor is something special in the canon that only ex-military flange groups ever had access to on a sustainable scale.
And collecting power frames for your garage is the whole point of the game.

I picked up a machete and went to town, PA raiders can't fatman you if you're fast enough and on drugs. Just Pick perks like toughness and that melee perk. There's a machete in the concord speak easy.
