The long-short of it is accepting donations doesn't follow my belief system. I don't have any objective way of putting it, but to me accepting donations for a hobby is morally wrong and exploiting kids and depressed people out of money better spent elsewhere (themselves, charity, etc.). Nobody is going to convince me it's not wrong by saying stuff like, "What's wrong with making a few tips doing something you love?" because, like religion, this is just one of those things that isn't based on objective facts but instead faith and belief that humans are held to some sort of code of ethics -- be it from words of the Bible or just a wonderful understanding of the social contract needed to function as more than just individuals.
