Regardless, I think hyphen ought to be able to charge whatever he wants for his art without people throwing a tantrum. I liked Granberia's, but Erubetie's is more realistic. Granberia just has more chemistry with Luka, and that whole blushing "W-well, if you're begging me to do it..." thing was really cute. Erubetie is more complicated, I'm sure her entities had conflicting feelings for Luka, and as more and more of her began to see him in that light, she came around.

Pay more attention to the original trilogy, the Angel Halo can be used to kill, and it was made by Lucifina using melted Angels, because Lucifina is crazy as that, Heinrich wouldn't have been able to lay a finger on them because they couldn't be touched by something unholy.
My theory is that Angels became untouchables after Alice I was sealed because there was a disturbance in the balance, otherwise Ilias wouldn't be scared of unsealing her. .

What really sucks is that because he's the perspective we get, the development of major characters like the knights is also tied to his development. We need more of both to really see good buildup.

I was thinking AT2's Croix. Good example of a cool protagonist who is somehow also a beta fuccboi who plays second fiddle to his heroines, even ends up getting collared and walked around a festival on a leash by one of them, but he's still generally in control. I thought Luka was going that route, but inbetween being a slutty boytoy he's just screaming "NOW GIVE UP EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVE IN DAMMIT" dropping celestial bodies on everything that disagees with him to solve all his problems.

That's the thing that made me think actually.
It isn't as if Luka is murderingand eating, just getting eateneveryone in his path. But, putting aside how he does it guy still just slugs his way to what he believes in.
It's still force however he wants to sell it. Doesn't mean the results are bad and doesn't mean that the ideals are bad just that the road to get there isn't great and the results might not last.
Plus it's more interesting when a character has to adjust their ideals over time. Wish I knew a better word for it. Anyway where I'm going with this:
Luka started to wrestle with the idea of what his world view meant, but it was an aborted journey. That sucks for him as a character and for us as an audience. I think.
