Like I said, don't just patrol those regions. One of my Quetzal encounters, I had spotted it and asked anyone on the server if they wanted the quetzal, as it was a low level one and my tribemates weren't around at the time to help me bring it down. I tailed it for an interested party and we went all the way from the volcano to the green obelisk.

Then you're just running through a string of bad luck. I suggest killing some argents while patrolling. Rumor has it (so take this with a grain of salt) that Argents and Quetzals share the same spawn allocation.

What servers are you Quetz hunters on?
I don't think the devs fixed the broken quetz spawn multiplier override rates yet, so there's a possibility that they simply don't spawn on your server rather than being the unconfirmed Argent thing.
I've seen one near SE beaches and another in the valley east to the snow biome, I don't know if those are spawn points though. Maybe you're just not flying high enough?
Plus, remember that when attacked Quetzal fly to 50-50 coord, try around there too.

Well, of course if you're around 50 50 already they'd try to run away from that, except they tend to slowly crawl back there. But maybe it's just like it used to be and that changed, I haven't updated since the post-Halloween patch to be honest

Raptor babbies are extremely cute, but overrated. In order to get a nice pack of 3 you have to start with 2 males and 3 females and inbreed their spawns for 3 generations, I'd say it's barely worth it unless you really like raptorfus

If so, then I wanted to say juvenile phase, of course depending on their species. Raptors are among the fastest to grow up so they need fewer stacks of meat, but rexes will need entire troughs. Considering that Quetz/Mosa/Giganoto are real and take forever, I'd suggest (if you're not on offi) setting the maturation to around x4.

If your new and you want a place to build and level without being accosted with the possibility of PVP in the future then NFA PvP is where its at.
